He wasn’t away to cover Good Groove, he was away and happened to be covering Good Groove too. Usually he double shifts. 

You know we're into summer season when no daytime show had its regular full-line up today.  Joel Mitchell in for Dean Matt & Mollie covering Greg Melvin away from RMC to cover Good Groove on Radio 2 Nat & Vicky covering Matt & Mollie's regular slot.  Emil in for Vick & Jamie alongside Katie. 

What right old mess but it is summer time I guess 

Jamie Laing’s appearances on Going Home  I am writing with concerns about the amount of time JamieLaing and to a lesser extent Vick Hope are absent from Radio 1 Going Home. Going Home is a major part of Radio 1 and is titled Going Home with Vick, Katie and Jamie. It is 4 days a week Monday-Thursday and deserves consistency. Jamie is away an awful lot, does not appear committed to the station in terms of his attendance and that his social media is geared solely towards his private projects and little mention of Radio 1 compared to the other presenters. I’m not against presenters having other private work but believe that having your name to such a show means that for most weeks you should be presenting your show most days the show is on. I appreciate presenters sometimes require extended time off for personal or other commitments but this should be the exception than the norm. I strongly believe that the current situation is far from satisfactory for the following reasons. 1. It is not fair on the listeners to have such a disrupted show not knowing who is on and it’s not fair on Katie to keep having to adjust to different cohosts 2. I dont believe it is fair on the current talent who live and breath radio who would be more committed to Radio 1 and I dare say at a better value show rate to license fee payers which in this day and age of cuts which I hate to see but understand is necessary.   Thank you for getting in touch with your complaint. I'm pretty sure Nat & Vicky just said they're on at 1pm tomorrow in for M&M as well? I wonder if Greg's still off with Matt & Mollie on breakfast?
