    • Ok I am going to have my five pence worth on this again.  Lets look at the bare facts, not opinion. I realise/know how upsetting this is, as someone who listened to the man from being a teenager, (I am now 50 odd) I cannot tell you how devistated I am, not only for the industry as it has sent shockwaves through it, but also for the man himself, his husband, his poor mum who must be reeling, his god children, his immediate family this includes Sams side as well because they will be as devestated for them, as well as Sam who has a production role and will likely be affected by this "event" but also for the person the other side of this, the potential complainant, who must be beside themselves at the thought a national treasure is literally in ruins, and continues to be front page news. I empathise with all involved, everyone who is reeling from this, and by all accounts that is millions. I do not feel for the tabliod press, whom Scott has indirectly asked to stop speculating, printing stories, who seem to still be in overdrive. The good thing is it is not on the news anymore, but on social, news sites it's still one of the main stories, the main story is again the Iran war, where thousands of innocent families are being desimated because of what seems like one man "deciding" he wants a war, dscribed as "illegial" by various other world leaders, if this is the case or not we will see... A US pilot is missing with the prospect of being found, and Iranians being paid cash by their government to hand him in, and if they do we will probably see in real time a prisoner of war being made to plead with his government to end it to save his own life, which will be a very disturbing watch for us all, but is possible. Kind of puts a Radio DJ being sacked off on the back burner? Not that this means anything less to me, or you, or the country but spare a thought for the poor family of the US pilot who may be close to being paraded around under torture on live news.  Now back to Scott and the BBC. The BBC clearly had good cause/reason to terminate their contract with Scott Mills. We really do not know the ins and outs, nor will we likely find out this side of King William taking the throne. What we do know is Scott was cancelled. The BBC would not have done this without speaking to legal teams, or having a water tight case. Think what you will of the BBC, they are not likely to fire on a whim, specially someone as prominent as Scott on their books.  The fans boycotting Radio 2, doing petitions, commenting on social, I am sad to say will not reinstate Scott. His BBC career is over, period. As sad as that is for us, for the nation, it is what is currenly factual.  Maybe, just maybe with some positive things he may be able to make some kind of comeback in future, but for the moment Scott MIlls is back to being average joe, sadly.
    • There’s probably a reason he’s not suing or proclaiming his innocence, it’ll become clear within time how justified the BBC is.
    • People shouldn’t think the worst unless they know it’s the worst
    • The BBC would’ve likely taken legal advise before proceeding. Otherwise, they’d leave themselves in a vulnerable position. They wouldn’t have sacked him unless it was extremely serious misconduct. It’s a great shame. What a sad end to a career spanning 3-decades.
    • They should tell us then, otherwise people are going to think the worst and that’s completely unfair for Scott, his family, his friends and his listeners.    •They have completely ruined his career •I hope he sues the heel out of them, I know I would.
    • You have no idea what this is in relation to. The BBC statements aren’t specific.
    • Why are you on this forum if you don’t agree. So far there is no evidence that’s why in 2016 nothing came about of this absolute farm of a case.  •don’t believe they just found out the age of the person   •I believe they have been cutting people from there wage bill for a while now and looking for a way to get Scott out. It’s not the employees fault that the BBC chose to pay them a high salary.
