    • Yes and Asian Network's Gura is doing Life Hacks (or at least that slot).
    • Former Capital presenter Rio Fredrika is covering Radio 1 Dance Morning over the Christmas period.
    • I will have Greg on until 11 then switch over to something else not interested in celebs. I am on pre recorded Christmas Day on my station
    • Good that Greg is doing Xmas day but it’s a shame we can’t get a (pre-recorded) Matt and Mollie/RMC/Sam and Danni show as well and they’ve gone for a celeb takeover again. Although it’s still better than last year when they just took the Radio 1 Anthems schedule for the day.
    • “I really do enjoy doing this show. I love it.” “You were invited… on the 2nd of December, 9.35, on the Breakfast Girls WhatsApp group.” “I’ve just got to do the bins and then hug. Cool.” Midweek Mayhem, Butter Chicken and Not Being Invited Scott arrived in a mischievous mood, greeting Tina with, “Enjoy your butter chicken.” He reflected on how much he loves doing the show, saying, “I don’t know if I say this enough, but I really do enjoy doing this show. I love it… I don’t know what’s going to happen.” He reminded listeners of yesterday’s Teletubbies chaos and Vernon “storming the studio.” Then came the morning’s drama: Ellie and Tina had gone out the night before without him. “I was otherwise engaged… but it’s the fact that I was NFI, not flipping invited.” The pair swiftly corrected him, with Tina delivering the forensic mic-drop: “You were invited… on the 2nd of December, 9.35… double blue tick.” A classic Scott Mills moment — wronged, then proven wrong, then laughing at himself. Jurassic Park Christmas Parties & Dressing-Up Box Energy Listeners were in excellent form today. One listener attending a Jurassic Park themed Christmas party asked for help. Scott casually offered: “Well, I do. I’ve got the blow-up dinosaur, obviously, so if you want to borrow it.” Tina and Ellie joined in, admitting they each had dinosaur onesies. The whole thing played like a window into Scott’s real home: a dressing-up box that now seems bottomless after years of Radio 1, Radio 2 and panto. Perfect timing too, as he revealed he is in panto rehearsals and confessed: “I’m writing my lines on my hand… literal ink all over my hands.” Ellie compared it to cheating in an exam; Scott insisted it was “fine” because he was learning. Tina & Ellie’s Jamiroquai Adventure – The Full Debrief Tina and Ellie’s night out stole the first hour of the show. They’d ventured to the O2 to see Jamiroquai — a rare school-night trip. “It was a really late one,” Ellie said, and Tina added, “Wherever you are, the O2 is far.” This spiralled into a geographical rant worthy of a breakfast show: Birmingham? Far. Inverness? Far. “A different country,” Ellie joked. But the pièce de résistance: Trevor Nelson tagged along. Ellie: “We said, we’ll create a ring of steel around you… we’ll escort you to your seat.” Trevor, apparently unused to entering an arena through the normal entrance, joked, “I usually get a chaperone. Where do I go?” Scott, now fully convinced he had missed out on the night of the year, softened only when reminded he was invited. “She’s a journalist, ladies and gentlemen,” he admitted of Tina, as she produced the evidence. Listeners on Stage Fright, Theory Tests & Writing on Arms The texts were on fire today. One listener admitted hiding a whole script inside a restaurant menu during a play. Scott loved this, cheekily adding, “You could just learn them.” The conversation evolved into driving theory tests when Scott confessed, “I did my test before theory came in.” Ellie and Tina reacted like he’d announced his age in dog years. Listeners confirmed the test launched in 1996. Scott, mock-offended: “That must be a mistake… The Ancient says 517.” A brilliant Scott self-roast that fans adore. Pause for Thought – Abby on Roy’s Light Abby Thompson brought a touching Pause for Thought about Roy, a church warden who could fix anything. She described him turning up days after retirement “in his boiler suit” asking if anything needed doing, and how he once led a Parkinson’s exercise class conga line into the car park. Her tribute to Roy’s fairy lights — “Abbey’s lights” — and his quiet daily kindnesses drew emotional texts. One listener said, “That’s made my morning so much more positive.” Scott summed it up: “Here’s to Roy.” The Strictly Come Daniel Update Daniel’s big office Strictly performance is tonight. Scott replayed Shirley Ballas’s advice: “Press that little button… you will be a star.” Daniel sent a voice note sounding both terrified and thrilled: “The big day has finally arrived… I’ll follow Shirley’s advice.” Scott promised to call him tomorrow for the results — a storyline listeners have genuinely become invested in. The Easiest Quiz – Gingerbread Amanda Today’s contestant was Amanda from Blackburn, who proudly introduced herself as someone who makes “fantastic gingerbread.” She smashed through questions until stumbling on birdwatching (“beds?”), leaving Scott in hysterics. She earned nine points, prompting Scott to comfort her: “Have you had a nice day out? That’s the main thing.” Amanda: “I’ve had a nice day out.” She ended with shout-outs to Walter, Pete, Wendy, Linda, Kez and Rach — a full Mills-style family roll call. Glenn Close & Mila Kunis Glenn Close and Mila Kunis joined Scott ahead of Wake Up Deadman, the third Knives Out film, and they were unstoppable together. Mila admitted she had to read the script “three times” to understand it, while Glenn said even while filming she would suddenly go, “Oh!” as new twists landed. The pair explained how director Rian Johnson keeps the full structure in his head, leaving the cast delightfully confused until the final edit. They discussed seeing the film for the first time with an audience in Toronto. Glenn said, “It was spectacular,” and Mila added that Johnson’s brain “must work very different than mine.” Their affection for the series — and each other — was obvious. Mila described the plots as “so intensely intricate” that “nobody’s ever supposed to solve them.” Then came their unexpected shared hobby: murder-mystery tourism. Mila revealed she used to drive around LA with friends reenacting historic crime scenes and listening to recorded narrations. Glenn chimed in cheerfully: “I’ve done that.” Both admitted to doing the notorious LA “dead tour,” which left Scott speechless and delighted. The interview reached peak comedy when Glenn confessed she once sat alone on her porch in a full witch outfit on Halloween — wig, makeup, skeleton dog — and “nobody came.” She described teenagers approaching “chewing gum,” and Mila mercilessly teased her: “You also don’t live on a busy street.” Glenn admitted she sat there “at least a half an hour… maybe more.” Scott ended the conversation laughing, calling them “awesome,” which they absolutely were — generous, witty, and so game for a radio laugh. Their warmth toward each other made the interview feel like eavesdropping on two best friends. Dad Jokes Arena – A Legendary Round Mila opened with: “My mom was a radiologist… I always wondered what she saw in him.” Glenn remained motionless like, as Scott described, “a mannequin.” The two accused each other of cheating, hiding faces behind cards, and laughing at their own punchlines. Glenn delivered: “It was a rocky road,” prompting Mila to monologue just to avoid laughing. Eventually, after confusion over Twiglets (“What’s Twiglets?” “They don’t have Marmite on them!”), own goals, and VAR-style decisions, Scott declared Glenn the winner. She celebrated by waving her legs in the air. Birthday Game – Roddy Turns 60 Roddy from Paisley (now in Dorset) celebrated his 60th, hoping to dodge novelty hits. His spins landed him Elvis, Elton & George Michael, and finally Will Young’s “Leave Right Now.” He took the third spin with relief: “Great voice, good song.” Scott reminisced about announcing all of LadBaby’s Christmas No.1s and joked that picking the wrong song could “ruin your birthday.” Listeners were stunned he skipped Elton and George; Scott defended him: “It’s panto — he can crowbar anything in.” Scott Hands Over to Vernon Kay At 9:30, Scott teased tomorrow’s guests — “Rowan Atkinson… he never does interviews!” — and Friday’s co-host Kylie. Vernon, still recovering from yesterday’s Teletubbies episode, joined cheerfully. They reminisced about the Blackadder theme, Vernon even singing it: “Bagot a bagot a bagot…” Scott laughed: “It’s all still in there, isn’t it?” The post 10 December 2025: Scott outsmarted by WhatsApp receipts first appeared on Unofficial Mills.View the full article
