    • The Daily Mail has published a lengthy article revisiting Chris Moyles' time at BBC Radio 1, featuring claims from former BBC staff about his behaviour behind the scenes during his Breakfast Show years. The piece includes comments from an anonymous former employee who alleges Moyles could be difficult to work with and created an uncomfortable atmosphere for some colleagues. It also references previously reported comments from Greg James, who wrote in his memoir that Moyles nicknamed him "the posh student" shortly after he joined Radio 1. The article also revisits comments made by former Breakfast Show sports presenter Tina Daheley. Speaking in 2018, Daheley said she was often the subject of jokes on air and felt uncomfortable with some of the treatment she received. She recalled that she "wouldn't have dreamed" of inviting her father into the studio environment and later praised Nick Grimshaw for helping to create a less hierarchical culture at Radio 1. Also referenced are Moyles' long-running on-air attacks on Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts and the controversial comments he made about Charlotte Church in the early 2000s. While the article doesn't contain allegations on the scale of those that have dominated recent BBC headlines, it argues that some former colleagues believe Moyles' behaviour was too often dismissed as "lad culture" at the time.
    • Also agreed @Ash101 and I think duos probably mean overall costs are cheaper in terms of content and features like X v Y and I’d have a hunch that presenters in past were probably paid more in terms of exclusivity and availability to be able to cover last minute
    • Agreed @wbroom12
    • Would have to imagine RMC and going home shows in danger zone. Vick and Jamie can't be comfortable. Katie would be fine I think. RMC coming end of life on R1 for me and C doing more for dance and M doing r2 cover
    • I’m torn on this, because I just don’t think some presenters are paid as much any more. In the last BBC salary list it was only Greg on there for Radio 1. Previously you’d had Scott, Clara, Annie Mac etc. but clearly these people have been replaced by cheaper alternatives which is why there’s duos
    • Yeah, Greg has posted that he's not on tomorrow,  but hopefully back Friday.
    • Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if we go back to the stage of single presenter shows (I reckon Matt and Mollie/Sam and Danni will survive as duos being friends already) but wouldn’t surprise me as and when people leave, they’re not actually replaced
