I'm completely hung up on this DJ/club owner I barely know and struggling with how to talk to him and if I should even keep the relationship just professional.

I'm not working for him thank god. I just know him. He hits on me all the time but I heard his girlfriend is the club's co-owner, and he apparently lied to my friend about it. and I've heard from several people that he is a manipulative slimeball but he has always been incredibly nice to me.

Having worked solidly for the past three weeks and now it's caught up with me. I'm rundown and starting with a cold/the flu, just in time for Leeds Festival on Wednesday...my mum's got me the day off work tomorrow so I can get better quicker!

They've been together for 3 years but bless him, he's the kind of person that puts himself down every chance he gets. He can't believe that he managed to get a stunning girlfriend and keep her for so long. He does whatever she wants to keep her happy and she's really lovely too most of the time but she's completely against his faith. She doesn't understand the concept of faith but when he tries to explain she doesn't care, she doesn't make an effort. I love him to bits as a friend and then some, and it's killing me seeing him question his faith so much for a girl.

Getting told off for something really really trivial at work (eating breakfast at my desk). This is obviously the beginning of the end. I am for the elbow soon enough. I know the signs better than my employers do.

I was being treated unfairly by the people i work with so i stormed out and now i'm on a nother department temporarily. I have issues with self confidence and self esteem anyway and this hasn't helped it. Now i've been told that i have to go back their on the same hours i was on before, which means working with these people again, and i don't want to. I feel like i've been treated like crap and the management don't really care. It's come to the point that last friday i nearly walked out of my job, I am sick and tired of being treated like crap by people. I'm trying to look for another job out of customer service but there isnt a lot else in newbury that i can do, and as i can't drive yet i'm fairly stuck.

Aww Mike, I'm sorry to hear about that. Work is rubbish sometimes, I've had countless jobs over the years and I know how terribly workers can get treated. I hope this gets sorted soon, or you find another job working for and with people who deserve your presence!!

It just irritates me though. Even if my manager does speak to them and sorts it out, they will just lick his arse and it will just end up worse than before, but they won't believe me. I think it's age discrimination to a certin extent though because im the only one who will work 5 evenings a week and also, if it was someone who had been there a lot longer than me, and was the same age as most of the management then none of this would have happened.

Aah well. Roll on the days when i can drive.

I worked hard to produce my newspaper column for Monday morning. I e-mailed it to the editor, and then had an e-mail today asking why I hadn't sent it. It turns out the editor wasn't in and it was cover staff. They couldn't get to my e-mail so I called my sister to forward it on.

I then got an e-mail saying they had gone to print without it, and that if I wasn't bothered, they were happy not to bother this week.

It just made it sound like I was the only one who wanted it published. It made me feel like saying 'alright, you don't pay me, I go out of my way to help you, maybe we should end things here'.
