What does everybody think of the new British coins due to be released soon?, what would you like to see on the reverse of the coin that represents Britain? The only coin not being given a makeover is the £2 Discuss...

Don't know why they bothered really. Just trying to keep up with the trendy European Euro coins s'pose.

I was thinking the same about Scotland. Seems very English for something which is supposed to represent the whole of the UK and not just England.

I think they look alright too, though I do like all the variations in design on the coins of late, makes them more interesting.

I think they're s**t. Whats the point in a) having the crest of the Royal Family, which no one really knows to begin with, and in the royal family anyway?

They look weird. I like my coins to look kind of symmetrical, they look really lopsided with the design over to one edge. It might be cool to put them all together but I don't like big changes to coins.

I don't like them either. Why try to make them look more modern or matching with the Euro? Whether it's my everlasting hate of change or not, I just don't like them.

Are they seriously the new coins? I thought they were only changing Britannia on the 50p. They look awful. The pound looks medieval

Would you believe I didn't even notice the shield formation the first time round

It's quite a cool way of making them match but I still prefer our old coins.
