Gah! I can't eat anything other than soup because it's that painful, and now my mum is accusing me of being anorexic and needing a psychologist because I can't eat other stuff. And her only backup is her ridiculous theory that of course you can eat with braces because otherwise they would give them to obese people! She totally doesn't understand!

Two words for you sweetie - chocolate buttons, they melt in the mouth :). A jumbo pack of those after every orthodontist trip almost made the pain worthwhile. Just stick with it, the pain of first getting them on is the worst bit (although having mine *drilled* off wasn't great fun, I think my ortho was a bit sadistic), and having amazing straight teeth at the end of it is definitely worth a year or two of bother.

What stopped me getting down about being a metal mouth was thinking that I'd have laaavely straight teeth in my wedding photos (if anyone ever makes an honest girl out of me). Just make sure you wear your elastics if/when you get to that stage, and your retainer too!

Can I just use an amazing quotation from last night's episode of Emmerdale? With the amaaaazing Aaron & Jackson.. Ahhh...

3:48 of Aaron related scenes, Jackson says:

Wow, quite some story you've got there. Got an agent for that?

Just wanted to use some Aaron quotes, as I have seen last night's episode 5 times now. And it fitted into the context ;)

Yes, yes you can use the quotation :P

Was a very odd week for me this week, all my sleeping and various not feeling well seemed to make the week seem like it had more days in it. hmmm strange

Not impressed with censorship

I wish I'd thought of Chocolate buttons! I used to eat anything that could be mashed using my tounge or melted in my mouth. Cakes are good :)

My goodness, that's a pretty funky donkey!

thank you,

about a month - six weeks ago she fell over in the nursing home & broke her hip, after it was replaced she just stayed the same really, it was very close last night but she held on, but a operation of this scale is just to much for a body to take i think & at 92 it is to much to recover from, she had Alzheimer's pretty bad also so she didn't really recognize anyone anymore either,

a few years ago the same thing happened to my other gran, she fell had hip replacement then a few months later she went back into hospital & was not doing to bad but it was the time of that Noro-Virus that took her in the end, she was 91.

they don't make them like they used to.

I am officially unlucky with men...

My leg problems are back and I am in agony...

I have a 2 hour jobseekers interview tomorrow

I am anxious about seeing my dad for the first time in a while tomorrow...

I am officially living in hiding. This consists of living, hiding under a blanket, occasionally crying... usually in my bedroom and only leaving to use the computer or for food.

Theres evidence to suggest I have autism/aspergers. After Watching Embarrasing bodies tonight, I took a test which can help determine where you are on the autistic spectrum. I came back with a very high score.

it's something I've dwelt on before, especially when AC, who has aspergers, lived with me. It's normally diagnosed in childhood, but considering how messed up my childhood was, I wasn't diagnosed with even my dyspraxia for a very long time.

I'm not thinking about this too much, but I'm going to make an appointment with my GP to explore this.

    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
    • I heard something about what is your favourite wood? Wtf 😂
    • Was the same vibe on the Easter Monday show they did too. Just random questions and the like…. Katie is definitely the glue around making the show listenable.
    • Vick and Jamie together are quite… awkward. Random discussion seems to be at an all time high without Katie. Maybe it’s just that there’s a lack of features today.
    • Jamie not even knowing about the big weekend day and the fact he starts the show at 14:00 just says everything.
    • I still haven’t forgiven Radio 1 for signing Laing. Vick and Jordan was good, you could hear the chemistry on air
    • I just want to add though that I am beginning to enjoy the show a bit more now that it’s settled in - I think Jamie (when he’s there) has calmed down a bit and then the new features that have been progressively added over the last couple of weeks have been good too.    I still don’t think it’s a patch on Vick and Jordan together, but it is now a show that seems like it could have legs into the future and once Matt and Mollie start in July, I could see myself sticking with R1 all afternoon.
    • I think it’s a slimmer line-up and seems to fall short in previous years where it seemed almost double that I know Raye is booked to perform and is a headline name. I think the issue with a station like capital they are dealing with a rather lacklustre year for pop and theres no real big pulls for pop festivals that are an easy sell out right now. I think Capital has had seen it’s Capital Ball’s as for any generic pop music listener I don’t know whether Bradley Simpson, Aitch and Paul Russel have the universality to play in a stadium even Sugababes think it would be better if they chosen a smaller outdoor location or Wembley arena.
