That’s what they are there for. They’re the radio equivalents of your Neil Warnocks. Sam Allardyce, Steve Bruce etc - safe pair of hands willing to do a few weeks work but don’t want a full time gig. -

Jerry and Jamie will be a very interesting combination together! I almost feel like they both need a Vick or Katie as the calm presence! -

That's a great read, thanks for sharing it Jono. It sums up a lot of how I've been feeling about it. And reading it makes it hit home once again just the scale of what has been lost. Not just a fantastic career, because that sounds impersonal - I feel like he really made a difference to the radio and did something special with his work. Other DJs said as much when he was leaving R1. It's so sad that he has had to leave R2 without the same send off. With, from what it seems like, colleagues just as shocked as us listeners, and still standing by him with their 'Love You Bye's that we have heard on their shows. They wouldn't do that if they thought he was a bad person, surely? Of all the celebs who have been 'cancelled' in recent years, I can't say I was a big fan of any of them, so maybe I didn't pay enough attention to the reasons for the cancellings. But what has happened to Scott seems disproportionate to the facts that are at hand, in my opinion. I know everyone's tastes are different, but Scott's shows were such a great place to escape to. He has said in interviews that he tries to make the radio a happy and shiney place, and I really feel like he achieved that with his R2 breakfast show. I thought we had many many years yet to come of those shows, and it's hard to imagine what could fill the void. And if I'm feeling like that as a listener, I can't imagine how he must be feeling without making the shows that he loves. -

Does the anthems 6-8 mean that there'll be no 7.30 newsbeat on Bank Holiday Monday? -
Angellica is listed on Thursday 30th April, Wednesday and Thursday 7th May. Owain is listed in for Rylan again this week, but he mentioned Rylan is back 'next week' on Saturdays show so that must be a discrepancy.
