I think this is probably why Katie was brought in late, nothing to do with how Vick and Jamie sounded, but because there was clearly a lot of absences forecast from the off.

I'm not sure why Vick and Katie need to leave Life Hacks. Doing that and drivetime only means a five day working week, which is completely normal. They both clearly love the show as well, with Katie's job in counselling also lending itself to that. Seems silly to get two new presenters for it.

How can he be surprised by What Are You Having For Your Tea when he did it the week he covered Jordan?

What new timeslot @Jono? That's the same timeslot Dean and Vicky had.

She starts the dance show in April so how does that make sense?

Strange that the day of the challenge has Matt and Mollie sitting for Greg. I wonder if she's supposed to be mobile co-hosting at the same time?

Will Manning now finds himself in almost exactly the same situation Scott was at R1. Been covering the breakfast show for years but clearly the bridesmaid never the bride, does the next biggest shows (Chart Show and Drive) but will likely never be promoted from that. Wouldn't surprise me if he's tempted to the BBC or Bauer now

The rumours were true then. Such a shame that the tabloids leaked it days in advance. Scott, Steve and Ken are so lucky their news wasn’t spoiled by papers like The Sun.

RadioToday have tweeted here that the replacement is being announced on Wednesday but I'm not sure how they know that when no-one else does.

Was just about to say Vick can't have known at the time of Judge Jordan on Tuesday then!

I'm sure she could've addressed the news to the point of just talking about the fact that Jordan's left and paying tribute to him. As long as there is no mention of how sudden it was or things like whether Vick knew or not then it shouldn't be shaky territory where management is concerned. Would've been better to have a happy middle so Vick doing this week at least and then a 2 week interim before the new show.

She is but it's far better to have a period of interim so that when the new Vick and Jamie show starts it's completely fresh.

Slightly crazy thought (although not as bad as some speculation) but I wonder if the departure is so sudden because Jordan’s moving to take one of Steve Wright’s slots on R2? It would explain why it needs to be so soon.

Seems a bit strange that Martha appears to have completely taken over the show from now on but there's been no official announcement about her.

Sam and Danni are great but I think the chart yesterday was better evidence of that than their weekend breakfast show is. The one thing they're missing is a strong format for their show. I don't know why it's so light on features or proper 'bits' (like the stuff Scott does on R2 that form most of the content for his show or the different things Matt and Mollie do rather than sticking to regular features entirely). I mean even James Cusack covering any show he does has more content than Sam and Danni's show does. Otherwise they're brilliant.
