I've met Hayseed Dixie. And one of them kissed my hand. So there. :bah:

Oh and I got the Hives' autographs when I was at the V Festival 2 years ago as well, but they were being miserable buggers so I didn't hang around for too long.

So save the last dance

Not nearly as many as you Jono :P

|When you say "met" does that encompass everything from brushed past in a club through served in a shop, talked to at a party, dated, did it with, went out with before they were famous?

And can we count tenuous connections like "I know someone who knows someone who delivers groceries to their house?? :D :D

UM is a nice place

I've met Fred MacAulay (he signed my school homework diary :D) and Michelle McManus - I suppose they aren't proper celebrities, but Fred has slept in the same room as Colin Murray :D:D:D

Any tips on where/how to meet celebrities?

I have never seen any famous people when I have been in London.

I even made a point of walking the whole length on The Kings road once and still nothing.

I do have a very good friend who is an agent though and so I like to experience celebrity through her. She is Jodi Albert's agent and often goes out with Jodi and the Westlife boys. Also her best friend is Naomi from Eastenders and I have a picture of her at a party stood next to DanRad ;)

Kurt Cobain and Dave Grohl in scabby student council office when they played QM Union Glasgow Uni 1992. Saw it freeeee! Don't know how that concert was ever pulled off, but feel v fortunate to have been there. Lovely men.

This is most impressive

Have tonnes more, but then I'm old.

Just cos they're famous....doesn't mean they're any better than us, so what's the fuss?

I know that Keith Chegwin comes into where i work about once a month to record voiceovers for TV ads. He even sponsored my boss to run the London Marathon this year!!

Never actually met him though.

I Spoke to Scott Mills about 3 years ago when he was covering breakfast and did "Tedious Half Hour" which was really cool. I've also seen Chris Tarrant in a little village called Woolhampton which is about 10 mins down the road from me.
