Nat is in for Vicky on Thursday 28th March.

Connor Coates is in for Charlie Hedges on Saturday 6th April.

Sian is in for Clara, Monday 8th to Thursday 11th April.

Kerrie Cosh is in for Jack, Monday 8th to Wednesday 10th April.

I guess thats the period ahead of the new Future Sounds and Future Artists.

We know R1 love duos and trios at the moment but I feel that getting Nat to join Vicky on the 10 hour takeover is a bit overkill - surely that’s a day that will be full of music?

And the same with Easter Monday when it’s Anthems day - I feel that all of RMC and Vick, Katie and Jamie aren’t all needed when they get to do 30 second links

Declan McKenna hosts Future Sounds on Tuesday 2nd April and Charli XCX on Wednesday 3rd - presumably the Thursday is TBC as Clara definitely finishes on Wednesday 27th March.

Sam & Danni are in for Arielle, Monday 15th to Thursday 18th April.

Jack's new show - Radio 1's New Music Show - starts on Monday 15th April 18.00-20.00.

Sian starts hosting Future Artists on Monday 15th April, now on Mondays & Tuesdays only 20.00-22.00.

Mollie's Future Pop moves to Wednesdays from 17th April 20.00-22.00.

Arielle's new show - Radio 1's Rave-Up - starts on Thursday 18th April 20.00-22.00.

Sarah is in for Danny, and Charlie Tee is in for Sarah, on Friday 19th April.

I’d like to see Arielle’s new show actually on a Friday night at peak ‘clubbing’ time. I’d also like to see a revert to the traditional Friday night times. Imagine this for a Friday night lineup:

6pm - Party Anthems

7pm - Danny Howard

9pm - Sarah Story

11pm - Pete Tong

1am - Arielle Free’s Rave Up

3am - Essential Mix

5am - Wind Down

I agree think having more live or original presenter driven programmes across the night schedule would be good I’d potentially allow Jaguar to have an extended time slot somewhere in the schedule. I wouldn’t want Arielle to be on a 1 am timeslot for her radio show and something she could easily do if Danny Howard could step down. I’d decide to scrap the Dance Anthems on Radio 1 saturday drive and move ‘Dance Anthems’ to Radio 2 creating a new ‘Radio 1 Party Starter’ show on saturday afternoons with new and classic pop/dance/indie/rap tracks curated with listener recommendations. I’d also have overnight the more niche and specialist stuff and have Tiffany Calver return to 1 with Casskid joining.

Monday and Tuesday is now Matt and Mollie on breakfast.

And it’s now just Matt, no Mollie next Saturday and Easter Sunday.

The trail playing this weekend has Greg saying it’s Matt Edmondson only in for him on Monday, so very last minute changes.

No Best New Pop on Friday 29th March, presumably it will be a dance day (yay!)

Also, interestingly, there is a Radio 1's Guide to ABBA show with Danny Beard on Friday 5th April from 2am-3am.

James sits in for Jack on the same day aswell.

Bit different when think everything ABBA should be Radio 2 territory

No rap show on Saturday 30th March, so Jeremiah is on 19.00-23.00.

Jess is in for Sian on Sunday 31st March.

Alyx is in for Clara on Monday 1st April.

Tara Kumar is in for Jack, Monday 1st to Wednesday 3rd April.

James Cusack is in for Jack on Friday 5th April.

This has been updated to show Jeremiah's normal show has been replaced with a Europe's Biggest Soundsystem Party.

7pm-8pm: Warm-Up with Jeremiah

8pm-9pm: Hour 1 takeover with Jeremiah

9pm-10pm: Hour 2 takeover with Mouv in Paris

10pm-11pm: Hour 3 takeover with 1Live Cologne in Germany.

    • https://youtu.be/A_Cycjg5_9A?si=NiLTFeiTNWBExFoR   As barmy as Sam Ryder has now gone, as shown in this video. I'd still rather it than that bland Olly Alexander record.
    • I like Scott, and I listen to Rylan's show every week... they do sound great together on Eurovision etc but.. as for a daily show together, I don't think it would work. Rylan would probably have to reign it in a bit which would lose his appeal, otherwise it may become too chaotic, in my opinion. That Saturday slot is perfect for Rylan, his rapport with Sally Traffic and Lottie is great. I suppose it comes down to cost as well and if he would want a daily show?   Radio 2 are clearly happy with Scott's show, and considering he's just won Best Entertainment Show at the ARIA's, I can't see them changing much.
    • A win for Scott which is fantastic after the last few years he's been through!
    • Am I outnumbered for not wanting to work in radio? It feels like there's a lot of geeks that want a job in the industry here.
    • Thought Sam and Danni were robbed of an award.
    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
