Spotted this change on 13th February to the schedules...

Interesting to see someone else doing Dean and Vicky's show that day!

It’s not showing as of now sure it’s not a systemic or administrative error that maybe someone accidentally published it without it actually going to happen. It has the feel newbie learning the BBC Sounds schedule software and how to edit thumbnail and text changes for presenter cover and sit ins. Bit like when the ticker for the bottom of the news channel with text of the rolling headlines was edited and published on error by trainee saying something like ‘Man United are rubbish’.

Is Jamie off that day I wonder? Or are they trying him solo on the afternoon show?

Jamie mentioned on Friday that this coming weekend is his last week of shows with Matt (though the schedule doesn't seem to have updated to reflect that).

Mollie has mentioned too that she's back on afternoons from March so presumably either she'll do the afternoon slot solo on Friday or if she's on Breakfast or away they'll get one of the usual cover DJs like Sam & Danni, Emil or James Cusack to cover that day.

Dont know whether this has been posted but Tara Kumar is in for Jack Saunders next week on the Future Artist programme. Which is unlike before as this is her first time presenting beyond the next generation festive period scheme as everyone is well aware Kerrie Cosh usually presents in absense of Saunders. Unless possibly related as she no longer does programming for the BBC, as presented one of its regional introducing programmes possibly lost out due to cuts.

Katie is in for Jordan from Monday 3rd to Thursday 6th April.

Sam & Danni are in for Arielle on Thursday 6th April.

There's a 10-hour takeover on Thursday 6th April, followed by Dance specials with Arielle (18.00-20.00) and Charlie Tee (20.00-22.00).

Good Friday (7th April) it's Matt & Mollie 07.00-10.30 and Connor Coates 10.30-13.00.  Not sure who will be on 13.00-16.00, schedule shows R1 Dance.

    • https://youtu.be/A_Cycjg5_9A?si=NiLTFeiTNWBExFoR   As barmy as Sam Ryder has now gone, as shown in this video. I'd still rather it than that bland Olly Alexander record.
    • I like Scott, and I listen to Rylan's show every week... they do sound great together on Eurovision etc but.. as for a daily show together, I don't think it would work. Rylan would probably have to reign it in a bit which would lose his appeal, otherwise it may become too chaotic, in my opinion. That Saturday slot is perfect for Rylan, his rapport with Sally Traffic and Lottie is great. I suppose it comes down to cost as well and if he would want a daily show?   Radio 2 are clearly happy with Scott's show, and considering he's just won Best Entertainment Show at the ARIA's, I can't see them changing much.
    • A win for Scott which is fantastic after the last few years he's been through!
    • Am I outnumbered for not wanting to work in radio? It feels like there's a lot of geeks that want a job in the industry here.
    • Thought Sam and Danni were robbed of an award.
    • OJ Borg is in for Trevor Nelson on the Rhythm Nation tonight (with Phill Williams on overnight). He's also in for Michael Ball for the next two Sundays (12th and 19th May). Ros Atkins (BBC's Analysis editior) is in for Jeremy Vine on Thursday. Another new name to Radio 2 is Oliver Hides from BBC Radio Wales. He sat in for Owain Wynn Evans yesterday and he's in again this Thursday (9th May) and Bank Holiday Monday (27th) Spoony in for Scott Mills from Tuesday 28th till Friday 31st May.
    • Thought they would make it easier to get to this event. There's been no communication from the council or organisers about travel, even though there's talk of train strikes. Smaller councils have done a better job.
    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
