Do you guys think that it'd be worth emailing the Scott Mills team about this? It's an interesting campaign I found on Facebook.

The point of the campaign is to try and stop the X Factor winner's single becoming Christmas number one (yet again) by getting as many people as possible to buy Killing in the Name during the week before Christmas!

I don't have any particular problem with X Factor but I think it'd be cool if the Internet had such an impact on popular culture in this way.

Anyway, do you think this is a good idea? If you do, why not email Scott about it? Might get an on-air mention!

Malcolm Middleton was Colin's choice with his ironic 'We're All Gonna Die'.

He said after leaving R1 he was pissed off the daytime shows weren't allowed to play it and as a result it didn't get the support he wanted to get it far into the charts.

So I think something like Rage would be a struggle too.

I agree with Nik, it's something R1 surely would have to play? But then again all the teeney boppers watching crap factor will all rush to get the single as their god Simon says.

Well I clearly know nothing. The group is up to nearly 600,000 members and getting exposure practically everywhere in the media, including on Scott's show.

It is doing well but 600,000 people who signed up are not exactly going to buy it though, still expect xfactor to be there

The fact that it's going to make it into the top 10 is an achievement, I think.

Well, I can't watch X Factor...I'm in the States...but I hear about it all the time....all I can say even without hearing the song is that if "Timmy Trendi" song can't get on the playlist then I would be stricter as to what becomes #1......
