  1. It's a good question. Sometimes you can just have too much of a good thing and need a change. Plus it's around the time I went to uni... I might have stopped around the time Beccy left so I think it might have felt like a good time to move on. End of an era sort-of feelings.
  2. I stopped listening to Scott back around 2012 after being an avid podcast listener for years and years. This could be a good opportunity to rediscover him again and make the transition to become a grown-up who listens to Radio 2...
  3. Wow. 4 years since I last visited Unofficial Mills - thought I'd pop back on ...only to find this! How times change.
  4. So, here's the situation. Scott has realised his time at Radio 1 is almost up and can't bare life without his show there. So he has taken a number of R1 staff hostage, murdering that security guard in the process. Somehow he manages to escape! You're watching the story on the news, suddenly there is a knock on your front door. You get up to answer, it's your neighbour looking for his lost dog, you tell him "Sorry, haven't seen it", you shut the door and walk back to your lounge. As you turn the corner you find Scott Mills sitting on your sofa crying, fake tan running from his face. He asks you if you could shelter him there until he works out how to flee the country. So the question is, would you harbour Scott Mills - the murderer? (Please no silly answers, this is a situation which may one day happen)
  5. The animals are going to love their moment in the spotlight. Find the YouTube video of the tightrope walking goat with a monkey on it's back, it's hilarious and the animals are clearly enjoying themselves.
  6. Easy, get a job. Get a job on a cruise ship that goes to Australia. There must be some rubbish jobs going. Or something on ships or planes.
  7. Almost. I'll go for. The Royal wedding goes to plan. No major terrorist attacks but something in...hm, I'll go for Wales. Stephen Hawking will die (he is really starting to take the piss now.) Google will release Chrome OS which will do well. Berlusconi won't be president any more. An ex US president will die.
  8. Last year, in the 2010 Predictions thread, many predictions were made. http://tiny.cc/d8cvn These are the results... Correct Predictions. Chippy - Prince William gets engaged. E*F*L*4L - Some sort of big disaster in the world, earthquake, hurricane, flood. E*F*L*4L - Labour government booted out E*F*L*4L - Gordon Brown won't be PM anymore by June. Rik - Lots more extreme weather. Rik - Conservatives will come to power and do absolutely diddley squat. Mark710 - The economy will slowly recover worldwide. John - Pete Doherty gets arrested. Me_54m - By everyone will have forgotten who Joe Mcelderry is. Rainbow_brite - There will be a shock match result in the World Cup. Rainbow_brite - We'll be out of recession by the end of the year. Rainbow_brite - Most of the airwaves throughout the year will be filled with awful pop songs. Mitchell - A celebrity will die young, of natural causes that end up being unnatural. Mitchell - The Daily Mail will spread their politically incorrect hatred of our country to the right-wing idiots who buy the shitrag paper. Mitchell - England will not win the World Cup, but boy will we ever believe that we can. Wrong Predictions. Chippy - America will be attacked by terrorists. Chippy - At least a couple of shootings at the 2010 World Cup. E*F*L*4L - There will be some sort of attack in the UK, (London, Birmingham, Manchester) or/and attack either on USA soil or a embassy, E*F*L*4L - Iran to go nuclear, Israel or USA to do some sort of strike against Iran E*F*L*4L - Tony Bliar to be tried for war crimes E*F*L*4L - Australia vote on leaving the Commonwealth (due to Charlie boy being a idiot & future king), E*F*L*4L - England get knocked out of the semi's in the world cup. Rik - Quite big improvements to the economy, but not enough to pull us out of recession. Rik - Russia will claim we've done something to annoy them and cut off our fuel. Rik - Some sort of attack on western society from the middle east. Rik - Dubai will be deserted when all the Arab's fail on their loans, leaving a rather expensive wasteland. DC - I can see something happening to birmingham over here, the canals aren't very well protected and lead right into the city centre. DC - They will attempt another attack on the united states again, maybe on the scale of 9/11. DC - On a lighter note. England will go to the world cup with owen coming off the bench to fire us on, until we get knocked out in the quater finals by Portugal. Serin - Thatcher will finally die hopefully. Mitchell - The election will be won by a political party. Mark710 - The US will not experience a terrorist attack on the scale of 9/11 but a European Capital will experience a major attack. Mark710 - There will be a sad occasion that will visit the Royal Family. Rainbow_brite - Unfortunately the Tories will win the General Election Me_54m - There will be either summer flood or a summer heatwave or both but either way it will be the wettest or hottest month on record. Rainbow_brite - There will be a security scare in the Commonwealth Games Mitchell - I genuinely think the Tories may not get into power though. Got a weird feeling that it'll be closer than people think, and that Labour may edge it. Lucie - I reckon Miley Cyrus or somebody similar will get pregnant. Will you have better predictions for 2011? http://tiny.cc/5n8fq
  9. Last year, you all predicted loads of terrorist attacks, however there was not a single 'attack like 911' in 2010. Some celebrities died, Prince William got engaged and there was an earthquake. What are your predictions for 2011? (Stories which will be in the news, nothing Radio 1 related or things which may happen to you)
  10. If they ever do this again, make sure it is Louie Spence...
  11. Haven't been here since June. However, I was watching and I had to come and agree that this is rubbish PS: I thought it was the real him too!
  12. He can walk?? ...or is Scott sitting down...?
  13. A few Chinese restaurants near to where I am have just adopted a loads, already covered in oil it's a perfect deal.
  14. Why can't the UK pick a good act? Though at least they actually have one unlike where I'm from...
  15. Two of those german chicks seem very close...
  16. Scott did well. Graham Norton has been so brilliant though!!
  17. Scott on Twitter: "Landed at heathrow!! Woooooop" Shouldn't he have landed in Norway...?
  18. After a google search, looks like she has written a book or two. Yeh... Cecilia Bartholomew - Complete loon.
  19. No no, 7.88 million are the people who listen. So it's really 11 out of 62million. I don't see this campaign going anywhere, funny though.
  20. Yeeeeh Lloyd. I'm sure they have had him on more recently than 2006, Euros maybe.
  21. No and too expensive anyway where I'm from.
  22. A little early to think about 2011, seeing how 2010 hasn't happened yet.
  23. I like these a lot, this is for London, the trendy, cool and different city. Do we really want the usual cuddly fox or rabbit?
  24. No chance at all, I've heard the crap we are entering too. However, if a very poor country (like Greece) was to win, they may not be able to afford to host it, so it may go to the UK to host it. Has happened before if a country doesn't want to host it, it goes to the BBC.
  25. Nice gig.... He would probably have a good shot at hosting it if the UK won.
