Personally, much as I like the man and respect his work so far, I do feel it's somewhat premature. He hasn't been around for that long as President, when you think about it.

Clearly deserved. The guy managed to bring together not only most of America but much of the world too, to see the end of one of the worst presidencies in American history and the history-making DEMOCRATIC ELECTION of a black president for the first time ever in America. That, alone, deserves a Nobel prize because it genuinely gave the world hope of something positive and special, the likes of which we may never see in our lifetimes again.

The nobel prizes is not just for peace. There are a fair few including physics so the fact that he invented a type of explosive has nothing to do with anything. The peace prize (I think) was a later addition to the sciences prizes by someone else (although Im not 100% sure on this).
