I didn't realise Fall Out Boy were that big.

Yeah me neither... has it sold out? I personally would be suprised if it had. Sum41 were in a similar situation a few years back, jumping from smaller venues such as the astoria straight into wembley... only selling out at the last minute... now they are pretty much no where to be heard ( That could be because their music took a turn for the worse)

None the less, hopefully Falloutboy dont head down that road, as they arent that bad!

EDIT: Yes they have sold out Wembley Arena

Oh I must have missed this when you posted it. Has the gig been yet? I'd like to see Glasvegas.

I bought tickets to see the Kaiser Chiefs this morning! I'm very excited, I'd tried to get tickets for their gig at the Glasgow Barrowlands as it's a brilliant venue also it's the closest venue for me. I couldn't get tickets for Glasgow though so I had a look at their other dates and they are playing Newcastle on a Saturday night so I thought I'd surprise Mr Kiz with a wee weekend away to Newcastle!

The gig is not until February so strictly speaking this is not the correct thread as the title states 2008....;)

It's the 12th of December, I think. Definitely in December! I've just tried searching for tickets but I think they're all sold out :( I'll let you know how they are, though!

I'd love to see Kaiser Chiefs, are you going to tht big arena in Newcastle? I saw Foo Fighters there last November; it's not as big as Manchester MEN, but it's a pretty darn good venue!

The Killers tour goes on sale on Friday. Presale is only available to those keen/sad enough to pay $35/year to be in their exclusive fan club. It really annoys me when bands have paid for fan clubs, I don't object to paying for this site to be run because Jono makes no profit from the subject of the site, but when it's a band that's raking in millions from ticket sales, there's no need for them to charge that much just to get access to 'exclusive online content' and presale links. I'd expect at least a t-shirt for $35. Just something that gets to me...

Incidentally I had a dream about going to see The Killers last night, it was quite weird.

I saw The View tonight in a tiny venue. It was... interesting.

Kyle (lead singer) seemed to think he was Pete Doherty. He came on stage, drunk and stumbling around, while the roadie was still doing the sound checks, and messed around with the guitars. Then when the others came on he played 2 songs while getting randomly violent towards other band members. After these 2 songs, they said they were going to play Wasted Little DJs, but Kyle threw down his guitar and stormed off.

They managed to get him to come back on and he sang a couple of songs sitting on the stage because he didn't appear able to stand. Then he played Wasted Little DJs and then disappeared backstage and they didn't manage to get him to come back again. The other guys did a pretty good job of trying to entertain the crowd but people were booing, not surprisingly. The lead singer of the support band came on and played some impromptu Libertines stuff and then Kieran announced that the gig was over and we'd all be getting refunds. Then he played and sang a few songs and did a pretty good job really.

So in conclusion, lead singer thinks he's Pete Doherty and has shown himself to be a bit of a tit. Rest of the band did a pretty good job despite that and played some interesting versions of their songs and some interesting covers. And we get our money back, so a win-win situation really.

Yeah, in 2009, I'm seeing The Killers and Snow Patrol in March. Yay!

Seeing Less Than Jake next weekend with my 2 gig buddies, then Death Cab For Cutie week after, The Hold Steady and Stereophonics in December and maybe also The Subways and Spunge.

We're getting ripped off over The View. They've rescheduled for January and we can either go to that or get our money back. The new date is at a slightly bigger venue and tickets are £12.50 when I paid £14 for the ones I've got. I don't think they're worth seeing again personally, my housemate doesn't either, but the other guy would quite like to see them. I think I might try to get a refund then the other guy can buy himself a ticket for the new date if he wants to go. I'm not going to be messed around just because Kyle spent too long in the pub.
