Hello all. Haven't been on the boards in a very long time. Hope everyone is well. I was just listening to the last podcast where Scott talked about his roommate listening to 40's music. In spite of, and because of the creepiness of the song, I absolutely love that bogey man song. Does anyone know where I can find it or what the correct song title is? I've heard the one on Bioshock 2, but the lyrics seem different.

Having no car payments anymore. Playing Ratchet & Clank and Wolfenstein on PS3. Watching Farscape from the beginning. What can I say? I'm a cheap date.

Patrick on OWO. He has got to go!

Meh. IMHO, it's overrated. But, to each their own.

I really want this to outgross and finally knock Titanic off the top money making movies. It so doesn't belong there.

That's true. They were ex-military mercenaries. Definitely brought our treatment of Native Americans to mind. And I agree about Rodriguez. She can be very annoying but was very likable in this. Also, I thought Sigourney Weaver looked great. She's aging very well.

Happy Christmas to all the geeks from Delaware! Be safe and merry.

I just wiki'd him. Didn't realize it was the guy that was married to Liza Minelli. I knew nothing of his past before that. Duh.
-
Okay, I'm a bit thick. Who is this guy?

Just found out that a friend of mine who was already diagnosed with lung cancer, is now in the hospital with 3 brain tumors as well. The outlook is not promising.

Saw it yesterday morning. I've never felt as immersed in a world as I did when I watched this at the local IMAX. Avatar may be in my top 10 movies of all time. Although I definitely plan on getting this on Blu-Ray, it won't have nearly the same effect. The story was a bit predictable, but I really enjoyed it. Visuals are breathtaking. I'm not sure it was anti-corporate America as much it was anti-colonialism (the military didn't come off so well, either).

David Mitchell is AWESOME!

Can't believe it's really happening. Chappers-you're the best and it won't be the same show without you. I credit you with being the biggest influence on my becoming a football fan. Best of luck to you!!
-
I know I'm joining this one late, but wanted to add to everyone else's opinion that Chappers leaving would suck big time!
-
I'm trying to avoid seeing as many clips of the movie as possible. From what I've heard, here in the States, Transformers 2 put a lock on the IMAX theaters here for most of the month of July. So, if I wanna see HP on the biggest screens, I have to wait several weeks after it's initial release here.

Geeky, I know, but greatly looking forward to an upcoming sci-fi convention this weekend.

It sucks that Mollie Sugden has died. We've lost some fine comediennes this year.
-
I've seen most of the summer blockbuster/popcorn movies so far (although I couldn't be bothered with the latest Terminator flick). So far, Star Trek has probably been the best, although I could be a bit biased. Still looking forward to Harry Potter the most.

No, but I may use that in the future. That's good!

Ooh, I did screw that up, didn't I? I meant UM. Should I edit my original?
-
So, UM men, would you have a go? Okay, I admit, part of the reason I wanted to post this was to see "breast pump" under topics, but I'm immature in that way. I found this very funny on Oh, What's Occurring? I don't know why, but I find Ant's voice dead sexy.

Nifty! I'll join when I get home.

I really like Torchwood, but would take DW any day over it. The newer series are great, but sometimes get wrapped up a little too quickly. And dodgy effects and sets aside (as compared to now), I still prefer the classic Who stories. I know. I'm old.
-
Cool. I'll have to look into that. Thanks.

I first saw him on Graham Norton a few years ago, and was really mesmerized by his personality. When I got into podcasts, his was one of the first I subscribed to. I really liked his interplay with Matt. I miss the podcasts. Have caught some of his stand-up on dvd and Comedy Central, but haven't seen FSM.
