NathanS 23
Ben Mundy is presenting his last Newsbeat this afternoon. Sounds like he's been promoted to an off air role or to wider BBC News. Christian Hewgill would be a good replacement for the main 15 min programmes/afternoon bullitens...
radio1fan 27
He’s presented on the News Channel before, wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up on there in a more permanent capacity

NathanS 23
Jordan and Vick spoke to him briefly after the 16:30 bulliten about it, and he mentioned it at the end of tonight's 15 minute programme.
BBCAaron 31
How long was Ben Mundy must’ve done 4 years.
abertom 17
I’m sure he’s done longer he was Chris Smiths deputy and did a lot of sports report. Always thought he was related to Simon but different spelling
NathanS 23
Yup. He's been on since at least 2010 reading the weekend bullitens/ deputising on the main programme and weekday bullitens. No doubt we'll be hearing more Christian Hewgill and Calum Leslie from now on
BBCAaron 31
Think something like 4 years as main daytime presenter of the main programme of newsbeat Hewgill Leslie probably will serve for the main show but probably see some new newsbeat presenters. Think with movement of BBC News departments in the long run movement of some presenters and reporters out of BBC. As different programme is created see some new newsbeat presenters coming. NathanS 23
There's been a fair few 'new names' reading bullitens recently I've noticed. Rebecca Swash, Mitch Mansfield and Jordan Kenney to name a few.
Lee E 54
Chris Smith and Tina Deheley both finished as the main daytime anchors in 2018 when Greg and Grimmy swapped shows, so it's been 4 years.. Chris Smith was on the main programme/afternoons for many years before - it was Ben Munday who announced when Scott was being moved off drive and onto lunch

michaelb 5
She covered last summer and did some weekend shifts before that. She's also covered the Asian Network debate show.
NathanS 23
She's done bullitens before, and she's been doing the Asian Network afternoon bullitens when they split them last year. I assume that means that AN will no longer have the seperate bullitens, and ALL of them will be simulcast again?
michaelb 5
Ben Mundy is back on the 5:45 Newsbeat
