Argh! Not anthems!!! I was hoping this year it would be different. I literally cannot stand basically a whole week of anthems, it's lazy and boring. I guess I won't be listening for a 5th year straight, unfortunately.

Oh yeah I remember seeing something about R1 not doing new presenters this year? Would be quite cool just to have normal presenters? As this is what they used to do before covid no?

Yep I listen to Jordan and then Dean and Vicky. Switched off during TikTok takeover.... yuck. Switched to R2 for Gaby Roslin and Steve Wright. Switched back to R1 for Greg and now chill show. I can't stand Anthems for the next week. I will not be tuning in, unfortunately. I will be listening to R2 until new years eve.

The problem I have with R2 is that it's more aimed at older/family listeners. I prefer Radio 1 because of the dance music and upbeat music. Radio 2 is more dumbed down, and i don't really like Jeremy Vine ?

I really hope it isn't just anthems this year. I literally get sick of them lol, we get them Fri-Sun....... I reckon Jordan will do Christmas Breakfast and NYE dance. I think Greg will do all the way up to 23rd as he mentioned at some point he'd used up all his annual leave. I think schedule will stay the same to be honest as we don't have Christmas eve or Christmas day falling on a weekday this time.

Hi Scott and Chris, Where to begin? I first started listening to you in 2018/19 as I was starting my GCSEs. I used to come home and first thing I would do is switch on the podcast. I found this really helpful for times when I was very stressed. Your humour and laughter made my day so much better. Shortly after I went to college, and then we had the lockdown. My mental health down spiralled. I was in a very very bad place but I would always regain myself after hearing you for 4 hours a day. What an amazing 4 hours it used to be. I loved it when you covered Radio 1 Breakfast, again the humour and fun was amazing. Fast forward to now where I am now full time employed. When I can, I switch you on while I am working, and if I can I put you on in the main room so everyone can hear your contagious fun and games. While I am sad it is ending, I am also overjoyed that you both are moving onto amazing opportunities. I really hope that one day we get re-united (Radio 1 breakfast perhaps ?). Newsbeat don't do their full programs after the 23rd. So I reckon probably newsbeat Mon-Thurs then Xmas eve they do hourly newsbeat until 1730, but maybe this year it could be different and they do it on the day.

Akylah Rodriguez is in for Mollie for best new pop. Seems like a last minute change to me. As it's not normally covered as they record it before hand.

I think with the 4hr slots, it's going to be great. Very glad to see he is staying for a bit longer.

Interesting. I've never heard the normal presenters on bank holidays. It will be interesting! I forgot there was a bank holiday on the 31st.

Well. That wasn't something I was expecting to happen! Makes sense for Clara to go to future sounds. Not sure about RMC moving to mornings though...
