    • Goes to show just how reliant on the likes of Mark and Gary they really are! I'm surprised though that a station like Radio 2 couldn't find anyone at all. Surely one of Clara, Richie or even Melvin would available if asked? I will say... Joel has actually been alright on Vernon's show this week in my opinion. He's been okay on the weekend shows he covers, but i was concerned about him being all over weekday daytime.. I think he settled into drivetime pretty well after a few days. Judging by one of his social media posts.. he's been putting in the effort to learn driving the desk which is always good to see. Not everyone does!
    • Dermot O'Leary in for Sara Cox on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th September. It's been a few years since Dermot did any cover outside of his Saturday show. He covered Zoe on breakfast for a couple of weeks during the Pandemic I recall?  Saturday 12th and Saturday 13th is R2 In The Park. No specific presenters mentioned yet, but OJ Borg is doing the slot immediately after on both days (21:30-00:00) Angela Griffin sits in on Love Songs on Sunday 13th September  Steffan Powell is in for Owain on Monday 14th September.
    • 12th September Emil Franchi begins Weekend Breakfast 7pm-11pm: The Music Is Black with Jerry and Kenny Allstar  13th September Sam and Danni takeover the Radio 1 00's/10's/20's shows. Lauren Layfield begins the Official Charts First Look shows Ore joins Life Hacks with Shanequa at the new time of 7pm
    • I mean surely even something like OJ or Owain double shifting would be better, they've got a much bigger gap between their shows and Trevor's slot and they've both done afternoon cover before.
    • Tomorrow, as it stands.. Spoony is double shifting on mid mornings in for Vernon as well as the afternoon show he's covering for Trevor. I know it's peak holiday season but it's quite surprising that there was no one else they could draft in for Trevor's show.    3pm-6pm on Bank Holiday Monday is Mark Goodier with the Billion Streamers again. 6-7pm is Lewis Capaldi's Ultimate Scottish Playlist (it's listed under R2 In The Park, presumably ahead of it taking place in Stirling).
    • Except it’s not BBC radio schedules and it’s not just that they aren’t being updated.   If it was a general case that it boiled down to being unimportant and a faff then yes fine scrap that part of the website entirely. But all the other BBC schedules across radio and tv are still being done. Furthermore, the complaints on this thread are about schedule changes being put up on the schedule website and then subsequently removed again. Which logically is MORE of a faff than not putting them up in the first place or putting them up and leaving them up.     So I’d agree with you if what you were describing was what was actually happening. But it’s a whole different kettle of fish.
