According to the Big Weekend mini-site the ticket registration will open on 14th April 2009. "Tickets are free - but last year almost half a million people applied for them and we expect demand to be massive again this year. There is a limit to how many people the site is licensed to hold, which includes all those working and performers. We have over 40,000 tickets available across the weekend, but you'll need to be lucky to get a pair."

As usual, under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult over 18 and those that look under 16 will require ID. Any child over two will require a ticket.

I applied last year and I would have applied again this year however, I'm going to see Girls Aloud on the 9th May......not that I would have had much chance of getting tickets anyway.

What happens if GA were to play and you got tickets?

O_o, lucky! Be sure to take ID if you get tickets. You could be asked for it (if you don't have anyone 18=> with you).

I'll apply from my new house in the lakes, and i've got a couple of neighbours from where i am now to apply for me too, cos there is more chance of getting them where i am now, only 20 odd miles away.
