I used to buy sweeties and singles (on vinyl) at Woolies with my pocket money.

I shall definitely be popping into the local Woolworths for a nostalgic bag of pic 'n' mix before it closes down. Boyf has strictly forbidden my childhood custom of pinching a sweet before I've paid for them though.:oops: Apparently they have cameras nowadays.

Really hope they find a way to save the chain, I find it quite sad. Glad I didn't get that job there now though.

And it's incredibly ironic that it was the busiest I've seen it in ages in there today.

it doesn't look good for the store though, apparently they have had to buy stuff from their suppliers in cash lately & camalot have suspended the lottery license also until wollies can be sorted out.

The Huddersfield one is skanky, hopefully that'll shut down. They do, however, have multipacks of Pom Bears on sale for £1. Yum.

I just read that apparently Woolworths is the main supplier to Zavvi, and apparently the collapse has meant that Zavvi can't take any CD or DVD orders...
