Doctor Who

Apparently she's doing the whole series and Martha's joining them in the second half. I know;. Jack should be the full time companion, he's blatently the best.

Yes it's time there was another male companion, there was one in a kilt once I think called Jamie or something. A companion should be young and strictly human though - their job is plot exposition after all and the Doctor wouldn't need to explain very much to Jack, I don't think.

I disagree. Just because a man has gay or bi friends or associates doesn't mean he might be bi-curious. Though the Doctor clearly has affection for Jack, as friends do.

I think it's great that the new Doctor Who embraces modern society, but really don't think it quite goes as far as you're suggesting, rightly or wrongly...

catherine tate? gaahhh...

she was alrite in the christmas special but that was a one off. i think i'd get bored full-time.

i'd just started to like martha aswell, she annoyed the hell out of me at the start but she got better.

i never thought i'd say it but i miss billie piper.

it should just be the doctor (david tennant obviously), rose and captain jack (in his current form, not as a giant pickled head) travelling around in the tardis, permanently. maybe martha could pop in occasionally. she's not all bad i guess.

as for kylie... dare i comment?

is she going to play herself, or an actual character? im guessing a character coz i dunno how kylie minogue would appear on the titanic... but then again, it is sci-fi, they can write anything they want to.

(¯`v´¯)

and i don't know, this could break my heart or save me...

Far be it from me of all people to be ageist, but I think the Doctor's companion should be young not in his or her late 30s. A big part of the charm for me is the "wise Doctor as mentor to a niave young companion" relationship.

As far as Ms Tate goes she's not funny, not sexy and theatre work and drama school background notwithstanding her acting looks shoddy beside Tennant's. That's my opinion, though many others may think differently.

I yoinked this from Wiki:

  • In Rose, Clive, a conspiracy theorist, shows Rose an old photograph of the Ninth Doctor with "the Daniels family of Southampton", on the eve of their scheduled voyage on board the Titanic. For an unspecified reason, they cancelled their trip and so survived the infamous iceberg collision and sinking.

  • In the following episode, The End of the World, the Ninth Doctor mentions that he "was on board another ship once. They said that was unsinkable. I ended up clinging to an iceberg, it wasn't half cold."

CE/DT crossover, anyone? It'd be awesome!
