Who's ill then?

I have once again caught a virus doing the rounds at the moment. Probably the worst one I've had this winter too (I sound like I'm specialised in them now!)

Headaches, colds, sweats, chills, sore eyes, chest pains, non-stop sleeping, not had more than a few slices of toast in four days, fainting and a chesty cough.

Rubbish! Not how I expected to start 2008. I'm guessing I'm thankful that it wasn't the winter vomiting bug. So anyone else want to share their their tales of sick bugs with me?

I had that between Christmas and New Year and gave it to my missus as well, she had a week off sick.

No food, too hot, too cold, skin aching, breathing toubles. Sounds like we had the same thing. It was a nightmare.

May I recommend some asprin and a lot of chicken soup (Heinz) as the best remedy.

Oh I hate that, when you feel like crap but not crap enough to warrant taking the day off so you have to be at work/school/college/whatever feeling like rubbish.

I'd rather be full on ill, at least then you get a day off rather than some half arsed illness.

Luckily, I haven't been full on ill, but I keep getting what feels like the start of flu. I think it's just that I'm not getting enough rest, but it's really irritating; I'm not ill but I don't feel completely well.

Oh my god, i thought it was just screwed up nervous system playing tricks! I have the same thing, I feel really light-headed, my legs feel really light and my concentration and brain skills go out the window. It really is quite an odd thing to have.

I called in sick the other day at work because of it, and then got reported as i went to boots opposite work to get lemsips... might be getting a disiplinary :( i wish i kept the receipt.

I'm avoiding everyone I can in order to not get this winter vomiting virus, it sounds horrible. With no bathroom at the moment, and only 1 between 5 of us normally, we'd have serious problems if we got that. Not to mention we've all got important exams we can't miss.

Having said that, I rarely get ill around this time of year, in fact I can't remember a time I've been ill after November or before February, I'm more one for getting ill in spring and autumn.
