Too much breakfast choice now! All this forums favourites on breakfast. Moyles, Greg, Jordan and Scott (of course we have to listen to Scott though - it’s unofficial mills after all)

Big week for Scott - and it's great he's on breakfast. Think he's got a lot more license to be creative there. And seemingly play Nickelback...

Radio 2 just as confusing as Radio 1 for schedules recently - Scott, Vernon, Tina and Spoony.

It was the same the other month when he sat in on a Saturday for Rylan, he had Sally Traffic and Lottie to bounce off. He is a brilliant solo presenter, and I actually do like his afternoon show, it's just missing 'something' that the R1 show had.  

But I think that is in part down to the slick music heavy format and the type of show management are asking him to do. Great to hear Scott on breakfast though. He now joins the list of people that have hosted both the Radio 1 and Radio 2 breakfast show.

On another note, hopefully everything is okay with Zoe Ball, she's only recently returned from holiday and was suddenly off on Friday.

I think the fact there’s more time helps as well, having only 2 hours in the afternoon isn’t really enough and doesn’t feel like there’s much in the show due to how much music there is, probably why they changed the podcast to weekly instead of daily.

Yeah I didn't think it was scheduled cover. Interesting it's the first time Scott has done it, perhaps they feel now is the right time to get him experimenting with other slots (so to speak).

Scott sounded great on breakfast, although I wouldn't fancy the early wake ups. He did that 20 odd years ago for Radio 1 enough.

Evening Standard have a quote from the BBC that Zoe Ball won’t be back until September

Will they keep Scott on breakfast until Zoe returns? Maybe she is ready to step aside. 

Wouldn't be the first time Scott has benefited from Zoe disappearing.

I really hope Scott gets the breakfast show, he was so great today. Zoe is really good but Scott is so much better in breakfast than in his afternoon slot. However it’ll be difficult to choose between Greg and Scott but I’ll have to go with Scott.

Very Interesting that they're head to head now. There's so much choice over breakfast now: Jordan, Chris and Sian on Capital, Scott on Radio 2, Greg on Radio 1, Chris Moyles on Radio X. All from Radio 1 (apart from Sian).

There is clearly big stuff going on in Zoe's life so this is very inappropriate, regardless of her salary.

Exactly what I'm doing, The fact that Greg has a podcast makes it a lot easier to listen back cause they usually don't miss any big moments on there.

I bet they have seen each other in the kitchen when songs are playing

Althogh Greg is on until 11 at the moment and Scott is on until 0930 so he will be home before Greg finishes

Interesting they have only now let him cover, I can only imagine that this is trying Scott out as permenent cover or Gabby Roslin and Gary Davies are not about

Maybe they will now use Scott (hoping so) going forward for breakfast cover ala R1 and someone else like Gary or OJ or Spoony covers 2-4 all the time, which would make sense going back to the Evans era for the first time when Sara was the permenent cover

Something tells me that Sara will get breakfast next because she hasn't covered in Zoe's time at all
