I went to a UCAS fair today and got 20 or so prospectuses, it was so much fun and I got loads of freebies.

Apart from the fact when I dropped all my prospectouses everywhere and have left have of them in my friends car.

I never got to go to one of them cos they scheduled it for the middle of the Easter holidays in my year, but people I know who have been reckon the most rubbish universities give out the best freebies. It makes sense really. We had a big pile of prospectuses in our sixth form area and the worst university of the lot had a photo of loads of Party Ring biscuits on its cover.

Not much rocks in my life right now, except that it's about a week now till I go home, which is good.

The show today rocked. Being able to hear my week long projects on the air. And I have made quite good friends with a lurker on the website.

Might be accompanying a band called Black Cherry to a few festivals as their photographer. Was with them last night at the Academy in Islington, where they were supporting a wrapper Akala. Rap fans look so funny when they do that bending at the knees thing with a hand pointing in the air. It looked like a cross between a Nurenburg rally and a very early 1920s animation.

I think I saw them supporting a band last year, I can't remember who they were supporting though. It was at The Social in Nottingham. Might have been The Wombats.

I've just spent a great 4 days in Bristol with a friend. We had lovely weather and spent some time relaxing and not thinking about coursework or exams.

Well remembered Lucinda, They supported the Wombats last year so you are indeed correct! Wish I had powers of recall like that.

    • Since Radio 1 Dance and Anthems have been allowed to broadcast on DAB, do we think they’ll be a proper schedule of shows like on Radio 1 Dance with the morning show and Dance Anthems at drive time. Maybe Lauren Redfern, Tyler Selby, Chrissy Cameron or Matt Hallsworth will be scheduled on named shows like Hits Radio 00s or Capital Anthems rather than the generic ‘Radio 1 Anthems’ show. Obviously it would probably cost more to produce actual shows on the station however.
    • There's been a lot of positive reaction to the Mylo and Rosie news so am interested now to hear what their shows are like. And yep wouldn't be surprised if they stay on beyond July as cover ever so often. And that Friday-Sunday news was hidden in the small print a little. It presumably means we lose Party Anthems all that month as that is what has happened this year with Big Weekend, Glasto for example. I certainly I hope it isn't Party Anthems being quietly axed full stop - it and Future Pop are 2 real hidden gems on Radio 1.
    • I’m pleased for Mylo and Rosie, they were highly thought of in our local area and definitely worthy of that slot
    • I’m thinking the same redding and Leeds etc
    • -Considering how little Jamie has appeared since Vick went off on maternity, it probably would've been more sensible to have Sam & Danni taking over from that point and have him return with Katie. - Mylo and Rosie are apparently very good and one of the more popular local presenters who lost their slot when Hits went fully national. I gather they are very popular in Yorkshire. I can see them definitely see them popping up again beyond this stint. -Life Hacks cover is yet another good opportunity for some new voices (I know Yinka has popped up in the past). I have enjoyed Pete Allison covering though. I'm assuming most of August's Friday to Sunday 1-4pm will be made up of festival coverage.
    • - Jamie Laing will take a break from Going Home from 28th July. Sam and Danni will cover. - Greg James will host his show until 11am from 21st July (Monday to Thursday only). - Mylo and Rosie, who previously hosted Hits Radio Breakfast in West Yorkshire, will host Friday EB in July. - Charley Marlowe of TikTok fame will host Friday EB in August. - Tskenya Frazer will host Life Hacks with Lauren Layfield in July, whilst Yinka Bikinni will host with Lauren in August. - Jamie Laing and Katie Thistleton will return to Going Home in September.
    • @eddemundo Thank you 👏🏼 👏🏼 That took some listening on Sounds to get that
