i took my driving test (practical) this afternoon and passed it. i got one minor and i can drive on my own now.

Well done DC, 1 minor is really good. Most of my friends came out of their driving tests saying things like "I only got 4 minors.... and 1 major". Enjoy being able to drive.

Aww congratulations DC It really is the greatest feeling in the world getting to drive on your own for the first time isn't it The novelty still hasn't worn off for me yet and I still don't take it for granted.

dc is proud today, and to round it off it seems michael owen took some inspiration from me. i'll have to charge him for it.

dc will drive into the manic land of wolverhampton later today to get to his radio station. and the zany manic death ring road all on his own!!1

the ring road wasn't all that bad, i guess i will get used to it all.

I got lost around the birmingham ring road once. and we went around a roundabout over a river with a tram station in the middle of it about 4 times in an hour

You sound like the 90 year old woman who went to a mechanics down the road and was totally confused when they asked her where details of her insurance were.

She assumed the garage dealt with it, and was even more confused when she was asked to show her tax documents. She'd probably been driving around without it all for a couple of years...

What's all this minor major stuff your all on about?

You are allowed a maximum of 14 minors in your test, if you get more than that you fail. Minors include incorrect signalling, stalling, observations etc. However if you get (I think) 4 or more of the same thing it is a Major.

If you get one major then you fail
