If you mean Carling Academy it'll be interesting to see what it's like in that chain of venues once smoking's banned...and the Islington one is awash with stale booze by the end of a gig, too. I'd love to not have to sit on the tube smelling of beer with my hair all sticky.

Can't go to Knowsley Hall now, booo. Maybe The Who will get a helicopter? They're playing there and at Glastonbury, aren't they?

Going back to the festival blog networky thing...

Does anyone know of any good sites that we can use? i was thinking something along the lines of bebo or myspace, something most of us are all likely to know and use, or something that is easy to use.

how about something that you can text too? hmm

Anyone have any ideas? and anyone up for it?

Why can't you go? :(

Financial reasons. Sold my ticket on ebay - only got half what I paid too, I don't think it's been publicised well enough which is a shame as it should be good. The MySpace Bus is going to be there, did you see that? :)

I'm not going to any more festivals this year but am looking forward to hearing what other people saw and did, hopefully they'll post about it on here.

I'll tell you about it on Monday. I don't think it has been either. I live about 20 mins away from where it's being held and I've not heard anything about it. Not even on local radio, which I thought was suprising. People have only really metnioned it this past week.

Last weekend I saw Muse at Wembley Stadium with Rodrigo y Gabriela, Dirty Pretty Things and The Streets. It was ACTUALLY amazin', even though I've never been so squished in my life

I think it's being made into a DVD too which is good.

Shey off of here was there, he says it was "like the gigs you wish you could go back in time to see, Queen at Wembley for example.."

Daughter's friend went too - he said it was amezin or awesome or some word like that - he liked it anyway. :)

Just to rub it in a little bit more... he was brilliant! :D So funny that I can't even put into words how funny he was! However it was at the Open Air theatre, and it was chucking it down, so we got completely soaked! It was more than worth it though. :D

Knowsley.

Very, very muddy!

Queues for miles, for everything. food, loos, parking

drunk + drugged up middle aged creeps everywhere

We tried playing spot the sober person.

On entering, it looked more lik a gypsy fair rather than a music festival because you couldn't see the stage.

Loads of people mud wrestling.

Keane were a disapointment

Myspace stage was desterted.

On the other hand.. Ross Copperman, the wombats, the zutons all put on an excellent performance.

Madness were great at first but slightly went downhill afterwards.

It was good, I'm not sure if I'd go again next year though, it wasn't very well organised.

mmm mud:

Gee - glad I didn't go then. I wouldn't have fitted in at all :P

Seriously, it sounds quite fun but maybe not as worth getting muddy for as Glastonbury? And that's a great picture :) is it you in the middle?

Yeah, that's me.

I think it got a lot more fun after it poured it down though. Because when we first arrived it was really hot and it just seemed like a summer fair more than a concert. There were waltsers there and everything.

Were tops with green hoods going cheap elise?

No :P

Although, they were selling those plastic coat things for £1 and inflatable sofas. I didn't have the patience to stand in that line though. It was seriously about a mile long.
