    • It does seem an odd task to dump completely - it surely only takes a few minutes max to update the schedule. But as some have said probably not many pay attention to that schedule page but then all the other radio stations are able to update it so it's odd Radio 1 seems a special case.  Where it is a bit more of a grey area is when you put episode trailers featuring a DJ you know isn't in. Last Wednesday in shows later in the day the trailers for the following day's Breakfast show was voiced by Greg - it was the usual 'ThursWAHEY' trailer. So from that you'd forgive people assuming Greg was on tomorrow - especially as the schedule has Greg's photo on there and no obvious reference to Sam & Danni covering. They always used to get the cover to voice those 'coming up' trailers - it felt really lazy.  Surely you just keep Sam & Danni for an extra minute or so to do a quick voice record previewing the following day's show.

But I REALLY think people need to put this stuff into perspective. Sometimes in life there is a difference between things that annoy us personally, and things that are actually annoying and wrong for everyone. I honestly think that BBC radio schedules not being updated on an per-edition basis falls, very firmly, into the former. For the listenership as a whole, it simple isn't important to know who will be presenting that day. It's not 'ridiculous', 'grounds for complaining', or any other the many other things they've been described as here in recent weeks. I really do get that it's frustrating for you as an individual, but there will be a reason. The reason might be as simple as it's a faff to do, and people's time could be better spent. I really don't think it's slacking, a cover up or anything else. If a poll were to be conducted of all the listeners, and they were asked if this was something they were really bothered about, I think the vast majority wouldn't even know what you were talking about, or that schedules were even available online. I think that's what it really boils down to.
    • Ye Its ridiculous. I mean they update some shows and not others its realy strange. I mean they took everyone who was going to cover each other off and now they are putting them back on. A few weeks back they put James Cusack sits in and they took that off, then they updated it to James gives you the chance to win R&L tickets and now they have removed that to
    • The fact that James actually is in for VKJ all week and it got put up before being very quickly taken down is absolutely ridiculous. Surely this must be grounds for complaining to the BBC already? Specifically R1 of course, the rest of the BBC has no issue updating its schedules!
