I've got pool envy...

The neighbours have a massive swimming/paddling pool thing in their garden. No idea they sold them that big here. Do you have a pool? Or is anyone envious of a friend or neighbour with a pool at the moment?

My uncle's got his own pool - lucky! The neighbours on one side of my garden have a huge paddling pool but I'm not envious in the slightest - heard the daughter screaming that her younger brother was peeing in it earlier. Nice.

My neighbours had a paddling pool but they left it out there uncovered for a few months and it got very very manky. Now their lawn is basically dead because of it. They've got a trampoline and there appears to be a small paddling pool on it at the moment. I'm not envious, although I never had a trampoline as a kid. Also, when I was a kid, trampolines didn't have protective guards all around them. If you fell off, you fell off...

When we were watching Blur at Glastonbury, some people in the crowd had a huge inflated paddling pool, which was being thrown around the crowd over people's heads. At least it didn't have any water in it.

I've got a little pond with 2 ickle goldfish in which is way better than a paddling pool :D

I'm thinking a bowl of cold water for my feet might do for now... It is hot, though an outdoor pool (rightly) costs a fortune to fill. It's amusing seeing how many there are around here on the zoomed satellite Google Maps view though. Bastards. ;)

Haha! We ought to be more friendly with our neighbours, perhaps?

Must admit I do miss the sea when the weather's like this.

Oh yes, I do. Not a "real" pool, we only have it out in the summer. And it's not that big - but that's alright, because I'm not a good swimmer yet anyway. It's so nice, though, I walked home from the station today, 2km with no shadow at all, so was litterally soaking wet with sweat. I guess the pool saved me. 30 minutes there, and I feel fresh again. I truly love it.
