What is Rob Da Bank's style of music? i know all the others but what is Robs?

A bit of EVERYTHING really. He's Radio 1's 'replacement' for John Peel. It's a VERY tough job, but I think he is doing pretty well.

Students from Cambridge student radio station CUR1350 are claiming their prize of a show on Radio 1 this weekend as seven presenters host the early show on Bank Holiday Monday.

The special show is in recognition of CUR1350's Best Student Radio Station award at the SRA's (Student Radio Awards) in November 2007.

The presenters will make their way down to the UK's capital, to broadcast from the famous Yalding House studios on Great Portland Street with full BBC training prior to their show, which is being broadcast between 5 and 7am on Monday morning.

Michael Brooks, station manager between 2005 and 2007 is thrilled: "The level of quality is evident through the fact that the BBC is letting us loose on one of their biggest national radio stations BBC Radio 1, and we very much look forward to demonstrating to the rest of the UK what university students, staff and researchers from Cambridge University and Anglia Ruskin can listen to on CUR1350."

Ahahaha, Westwood's attempt at an "it's only bley Friday" was brilliant, Scott should get him to do it every week... you honestly wouldn't believe that he's 50 years old, I used to despise him with a passion but now he's starting to grow on me because of his sheer comedy genius.

Generally I like this 'reverse scheduling' idea but to be honest I'm not too keen on the idea of waking up to Zane Lowe...

Gill and me may have to agree to disagree with you on the Zane front. I, for one think his voice might be rather appealing to wake up to in the morning.

I also used to loathe Westwood. My little brother listened to him all the time, and it was all 'SHOUTOUT to the Milton Keynes posse!' etc. Now however, I see him as a caricature and find him hilarious.

Rob da Bank is a really good DJ. Even Jo seemed a bit in awe of him on her show today.

I hope I'll be able to listen to most of the stuff on Monday, I'm rather looking forward to it.

The whole day is on my Sky+ as I had a feeling it'd be a good one. Rob Da Bank appears to have MSN open as I keep hearing the noise of people sending messages to him!

A nice bit of Laura Marling from Rob...

Bless Grace. "Is that his real name?" I think his parents would be quite harsh if they did decide to name him Rob Da Bank.

It was funny when Zane was ringing up people this morning and waking them up by playing random noises down the phone - Brandon Flowers from The Killers wasn't too impressed at being woken up at 3 in the morning Vegas time...

im really liking Zane's show and of course the return of Judge Jules live on radio 1 as supposed to being on tape with heavy hard music

Well this is the thing, it's so refreshing to hear the DJs live and to hear some live radio on a bank holiday.

Did anyone else manage to listen to the student award winners from 2am? I was awake so listened in from around 5am. They sounded really good and seemed to be pleased to be on Radio 1.

I also listened to Zane on breakfast. It was funny to hear him say what the various jingles were called before playing them. Shame he didn't get Norman "Fat Boy Slim" Cook on the phone.

"Hallelujah"
