Didn't say that. But Sara Cox was quite happy being paid the same to do a weekend show instead when she came back from maternity...

edith loves working at R1 to much to leave, she will obviously have to take it easy for a few months after the baby is born, but she is a go getter & won't want to just sit around at home.

she has quite a long contract so the beeb cannot get rid of her, i think we should just wait until something is announced.

No but they can shunt her to another slot quite easily.

I'll miss Edith when she's on maternity leave. Mini Edith is due on Glastonbury weekend, because Tom is playing with Editors and doesn't know what to do; stay with Edith or play Glastonbury, but Edith doesn't want him to miss playing.

If thats true how awful.

But in reality what kind of choice is that, the birth of your first child or repeating a gig you did last year and could probably do again next year!

If Tom was worried about missing out on publicity etc... then use the media and baby's birth to promote his band...everyone else does it.

Im amazed Tom is even considering missing his baby's birth... what a strange world we live in.
