How terrible Nati, pushing those two already. Give them time, I say about..a day?

This seems all incredibly interesting but I'm too tired to stay up and nose at people's lives anymore for today.

I gave some sensible advice (off of Scott Mills) too, if you'd care to look a bit further...Pah!;)

Anyhow totally off topic again, I'd like to ask CancerfortheCure why she chose that name, if I may?

Eels' song, about how there's no point in trying to invent a cure for cancer because it's better to reduce the cause rather than the effect :D

Ekhm I'd rather not be one of the many :P

PM time you two. Have fun! Don't forget about what Scott said about going to Uni single though...;)

I'm already taken I'm afraid :)

As well as the fact that she looks cute in the avatar thingy

You don't look so bad yourself.

I don't actually agree with what Scott said :P It's not like you're gonna miss out on all the fun if you go taken, although it is true - most of the time it doesn't really last. And that's why my boyfriend is going with me :D

I'm not sure about this. Some people haven't found it a problem. It depends how much you are willing to get out there and meet new people. A good friend of mine from school is having a miserable time at university because she's spent too much time with her boyfriend who she's been with since before we finished school and not enough time meeting new people and not really bothered making friends. It's also bad if you go to university with a boy/girlfriend and then break up. Still though, you can see how it goes.

I agree... Though it's making me feel a little miserable. Met a guy at a speed dating thing we did for a laugh on Valentines Day, but we didn't really get back in contact till very recently. Now because I know I'm going to uni single, I don't see the point in starting anything with him, because for the next 3 months I have exams and have grounded myself... barring computer use... and then after that going on holiday with all my friends and stuff... whereas people who currently have boyfriends aren't thinking about it because they've been together for a while now.

I may have completely gone off on a tangent but my basic gist is that I agree with going to uni single... however, this means that I will be very single for the next 5 months.

Gutted.

Yeah that's true, I did have thoughts like that - I don't really want to stay inside and be antisocial, and it would be much easier to be social and make friends if I lived on the campus. However, I also had to consider the fact that my course requires me to do a lot of work and I probably won't even have time to be social. It would be quite difficult to ignore all the partying if I lived on the campus and it's something I have to do, so even if my boyfriend wasn't coming with me, I'd probably go for the private sector anyway. I suppose it depends whether you're going to uni to make friends or to get a good job in the future. There is also the financial issue - my boyfriend is taking a gap year, which means that he's going to get a full-time job annnnd he's willing to pay the rent :) Also, I think that living together is the best way to test your relationship, and it's nice to have someone there when you don't know anyone at university. And yeah I will be able to socialise enough anyway :) So it's alright :D

Hehe! Granted I've wasted the past 2 years not doing any homework... hence the inability to answer any questions... I have 50 days to learn 2 years worth of syllabus.

yay!

As if I want to this in the future... 5 intense years at uni... not looking forward to it. :( My sister said that the architecture students are the only ones who study harder than the medics... now, considering my sister sleeps in the art studio... I hope it's a LOT less.

Yeah, it is very intense. My friend from school who does architecture in London was telling me about how some people had complete breakdowns and went nuts just before the deadline for their first year work. They don't have exams but work sooo hard the rest of the time. The 2 architects I lived with last year were at the 'studio' so much that people wondered if it was a code word for somewhere else.

Still, there'll be a lot of geographers in this 24 hour computer room in the next few weeks as all our deadlines are due. Monday night will probably be very busy with a lot of people doing all-nighters.
