I just had a text read out on Cool FM! *is proud of self* :D

Hehe I got some mentions on Cool FM about a year ago and I've never even been to NI. It's not difficult to get a mention at 2am on local radio...

I was up till 7am and then it was difficult to sleep with the birds tweeting and everything. Got rather drunk then it seemed like a good idea to stay up. Got absolutely soaked last night on the way back from Sainsburys, a half hour walk in torrential rain. My shoes are still wet. I got up at 12 today and I've just wasted time really, but I have applied for 2 jobs.

See, Jono, I told you I wasn't their only listener! :D

That's true, it is very, very quiet. After 1am it's mainly just music.

Me and my friend went to Mcdonalds this morning for Pancakes and Syrup(that was after a strange pidgeon guy came to talk to me..)but anyways, it was lovely! Then we went shopping and I got some nice stuff, and I went to pick up some house leaflets for mum. Have come home now, going to do some revision in a sec, managed 3 hours yesterday=well proud!x

Today has started off really %&^%, got up and ready for work, as normal I started eating my chewing gum and to my horror my crown (on my tooth!) came out when I was chewing. I phoned the dentist who cant fit me in until tomorrow and they are going to charge me £45 for glue-ing it back into place. Not Happy mad.gificon8.gif

Stupid dentists up here in Perth are ALL private and there are no NHS dentists around :x

Edit : My tooth just came out, I dont think its a crown, it looks like a tooth on a metal pin which I presume is a dental implant which is even more worrying (and probably expensive) :|

Glad you had good one.

Can beat you on the suffering front. Spent this morning in hospital getting ribs x-rayed. Sun morning incident after a mate's amazing surprise birthday Sat night. Didn't hurt 'til middle of night last night, when effects of party wore off.

Very painful, but still intact. At least off work today, on pain killers and get to listen to Scott. Only problem, it REALLLY hurts to laugh!

Feeling sorry for myself.:(

I just got outsmarted by a FOUR YEAR OLD. :( It went a bit like this:

Joy: No, you're not having chocolate.

Emma: Why not?

Joy: Because you didn't eat your dinner.

Emma: So?

Me: So you're not having any chocolate.

Joy: But I want some chocolate!

Me: You should've eaten your dinner then, shouldn't you?

Joy: Yeah, well. You smell!

How are you meant to come back to something like that?!

I had a conversation pretty similar to that with my brother earlier:

Me: I phoned Mum for you, she'll pick some up on her way home

*silence*

Me: Do I get a thank you?

Brother: No.

Me: Why not?

Brother: Because I hate you.

Me: Why do you hate me?

Brother: Because you SMELL!

I hasten to add I smell like Honey I Washed the Kids off of Lush. :)

They really are, his current toy is an air horn which he enjoys tooting in my ear every so often. :(

I see your brother's air horn and raise you my sister's Pot Noodle horn, which she woke me up with for 5 days on the trot.

Also, have I ever mentioned how my brothers like to shout "KELLY!" when I'm asleep then, the second I wake up, plunge their fingers into my eyes? :(

Ah, but brothers are not as bad as sisters. Especially sisters that are 11 months younger than you and their sole purpose in life is to ruin your life. So far, in her 14 years and 11 months on this earth, my sister has:

  • Smashed me over the head with a bottle of hairspray (she was 6 months old then, but I have the pictures to prove it!)
  • Electrocuted me
  • Burnt all my pictures of Richard Hammond :(
  • Played frisbee with my CDs
  • Sprained my ankle by tripping me up
  • Broken my finger by kicking me so hard it snapped backwards
  • Broken my arm by pulling me off my rollerskates
  • Dragging me head-first into a pond with said broken arm

And that's just the really bad stuff. She's always annoying me in some way.

Wow, she sounds like a bitch. I don't know why but I find the pond thing amusing..

Thing is, she's so brilliantly hilarious, I forgive her for most of it. You would find it amusing, I shivered for weeks after that, and I still hate ponds!

Almost forgot something she did that's still healing. She broke my ear. Properly broke it. The cartlidge is snapped and everything.

I'm sure there are some advantages to being an only child, but the truth is, I wouldn't swap any of my brothers and sisters for the world. They make life so much funnier!

    • They do sound good together, but I'm not sure Rylan will want the extra commitments.
    • I have accepted Chris is unlikely to join Scott's show, and that Chappers has moved on, but I still think he could do with a co-host. The most logical solution, I think, is Rylan. He appears more often on his show than not, and they are great together. Radio 2 could lose Rylan's Saturday show and extend his reach by appearing during the week. I think they'd be great!
    • Tattoo took a while to grow on me. I couldn't see the fuss until weeks after. We have a split household here where the war on Gaza is overshadowing an enjoyment. I'm hoping for a protest of some sort.
    • I've heard that the staging is very impressive.  That and him being "known" might prevent an embarrassing result.  I'm a terrible judge of Eurovision though as Tattoo is still so very meh to me.
    • Feels like after the success of Sam Ryder we are going back to our old ways. Olly Alexander's song is pretty weak. Anyone fancy our chances this year?
    • The more time goes on the more you think if they'd actually put some thought into it it should've been Vick & Katie from the start. A proven pairing and Katie ended up on the show anyway - whereas Katie's even mentioned she was only asked to join after the Jamie announcement And even by Going Home standards on time off, it's quite funny that a few months in we still haven't had a full week of the supposed line-up - and that's with a 4-day week.
    • I heard something about what is your favourite wood? Wtf 😂
    • Was the same vibe on the Easter Monday show they did too. Just random questions and the like…. Katie is definitely the glue around making the show listenable.
    • Vick and Jamie together are quite… awkward. Random discussion seems to be at an all time high without Katie. Maybe it’s just that there’s a lack of features today.
    • Jamie not even knowing about the big weekend day and the fact he starts the show at 14:00 just says everything.
    • I still haven’t forgiven Radio 1 for signing Laing. Vick and Jordan was good, you could hear the chemistry on air
    • I just want to add though that I am beginning to enjoy the show a bit more now that it’s settled in - I think Jamie (when he’s there) has calmed down a bit and then the new features that have been progressively added over the last couple of weeks have been good too.    I still don’t think it’s a patch on Vick and Jordan together, but it is now a show that seems like it could have legs into the future and once Matt and Mollie start in July, I could see myself sticking with R1 all afternoon.
    • I think it’s a slimmer line-up and seems to fall short in previous years where it seemed almost double that I know Raye is booked to perform and is a headline name. I think the issue with a station like capital they are dealing with a rather lacklustre year for pop and theres no real big pulls for pop festivals that are an easy sell out right now. I think Capital has had seen it’s Capital Ball’s as for any generic pop music listener I don’t know whether Bradley Simpson, Aitch and Paul Russel have the universality to play in a stadium even Sugababes think it would be better if they chosen a smaller outdoor location or Wembley arena.
    • He's in bed sick today so not sure it will happen this weekend.
    • Don't think it's the most amazing line-up. They seemed to really be pushing people to buy tickets on release day.
