They repeat themselves more than a radio station playlist, every 5 mins they are saying the same thing again, but with the words in a different order.

hmmm by not voting you have no voice or cannot complain about anything that the next government does, that some people feel like this better to invalidate the voting slip by ticking all the boxes than not vote at all.

the polls seem to suggest that Cam won this debate but i'm not so sure i think Nick did best overall, Gordon was out of his depth i feel again as he has been in all these debates, everyone knows that things like this are not his strong points, i don't doubt that he is a hard working old school politician, i am happy with my current MP (Lib-Dem) & will be voting again for her i think that a big change is needed in the UK politics wise & that this time the Lib-Dems can make a difference & actually change things for once, yes it may be a bit of a gamble but something HAS to change !

Glad I didn't waste my time watching the Fulham match, debate was easily the most exciting as they actually argued. Brown didn't have a clue, the worst was when he went on about the tories cutting child tax credits saying the Tories only wanted to benefit the rich, when they were taking away credits from people earning over £50,000! Thought Cameron was the clear winner, Clegg did ok and Brown was miles behind. I was almost sick when I found out the Fulham score though.

Of all the surveys I saw, the ones that had Cameron at the top all seemed to be from Murdoch-owned (and thus likely to be Tory-supporting, The Scottish Sun being an apparent exception) outlets and sources like Sky News.... Hmmm.

I said I wasn't fully made up my mind yet but I was pretty certain I would be voting xxxxxx, this then lead me to receive a huge lecture/ear bashing for the next half hour or so which left me with a bit of a headache and a very awkward silence in the car. After that, any available opportunity to have a little dig at me was thrown in, usually along the lines of what I said didnt matter because I vote xxxxx.

Gordon Brown had the honeymoon period in the weeks and months after he first became PM where people were, I guess, happy to see the back of Blair and were quite satisfied with how Brown's government handled the situation of the attempted-terrorist attacks during those first few days. But since then Brown's had a fairly rough ride, being consistantly low in the polls, the public seem to be pretty dissatisfied with his government, and then there were the high-profile members/former members of the Government resigning to undermine Brown's job and trying to launch leadership bids.

So what I find quite hard to understand is that Cameron has so many vocal critics, even from within his own party and other die-hard Conservative supporters. He gives the 'right' answers, says what people want to hear, talks about 'change'. Even with the a majority of the print media (and covertly Sky News) supporting Cameron and the Conservatives, a lot of the public seem to be scepitcal of the apparent media bias and aren't all giving Cameron the easy ride and the landslide victory many assumed he'd get get moreorless without any serious challenge - a bit like Tony Blair after John Major and Obama after Bush.

So basically, in short, I just don't understand why Cameron and the Conservatives aren't getting the easy ride they're 'entitled' to.

For the record: I'm not a Conservative, a Conservative supporter or a Conservative voter. And, probably, never will be.

Generally its not a problem because 99% of the time, friends will realise that not everyone has the same opinions as themselves. This time my friend crossed the line to be honest, I was really pissed off with her cos at no point did I try and convert her or give her a tidal wave of abuse for her belieffs.

I don't claim to know a great deal about politics, but I do know this;

No party represents me or my opinions, I just have to chose the best of a bad lot. I know what leader(s) I don't like, and I know what one(s) I'm not too bothered about. I make my decisions from there, not cos of friends trying to change my mind or posters etc put up at the side or the road, candidates being in the street wanting to meet people etc etc

The introduction of the minimum wage (despite Conservative opposition). 500,000 less children in poverty. 900,000 less pensioners in poverty. A directly elected Mayor of London and London Assembly.
