Didn't she die?

she will die sooner due to her heart problems maybe, hope that makes you happy.

FOR most women expecting a first child, going for the first scan, choosing names and buying baby clothes are times of great enjoyment.

But for Edith Bowman, BBC Radio 1's resident rock chick, due to have her first child in June, this precious time is being marred by serious health worries.

Speaking for the first time about becoming a parent with partner Tom Smith, lead singer of the Editors, Bowman, 32, revealed last night she has a potentially life-threatening heart defect that means she could be putting her health at risk by having her baby.

Four years ago Bowman, who grew up in Anstruther, Fife, was diagnosed with having a two-way valve rather than a three-way valve in her heart, which puts excessive strain on the organ.

In extreme cases, the condition requires a transplant. It also increases the risk of developing heart disease at a young age.

Ah, I see everything went alright then.

well yes as far as having Rudy (the baby) yes, however Edith still has a defective heart (i don't mean to be rude, but you did read the quote didn't you ?)

she will always have a two valve heart unless her condition deteriorates to the point where she needs a transplant where she would (hopefully) get a three way valve heart.

Hopefully the heart she has holds out. This is a shock to me!
