Fearne Cotton crowns the winner of the Greatest Live Lounge Cover Ever in today's programme. In recent weeks, BBC Radio 1 listeners have been voting for their favourite covers from the last 10 years of the Live Lounge. With performances, ranging from Leona Lewis's version of Run to Will Young's take on Outkast's Hey Ya, it's anybody's guess what the favourite will be.

Kissy Sell Out and Toddla T provide party mixes to get listeners into the party spirit.

Scott Mills looks back at all the big stories from the last year, as the 10-part series exploring the music and pop cultural moments defining the first decade of the new millennium concludes.

The story of The Naughties, as seen through the eyes of BBC Radio 1, includes dubstep's breakthrough into the mainstream, the death of pop icon Michael Jackson and Twitter's arrival on the social networking scene.

Scott also looks forward to the decade ahead, making his predictions as to what can be expected in the years to come.

BBC Radio 1 Stories is part of a new line up of documentaries, a new review show and In New DJs We Trust that sits at the heart of the weeknight schedule at 9pm.

Live Music Highlights Ep 1/4

Monday 28 December to Thursday 31 December

Throughout this week BBC Radio 1 plays live music highlights from a special selection of the best performances of 2009 from four of the year's biggest names.

From Monday to Thursday lunchtime listeners can hear exclusive music highlights taken from across the past year.

Monday's tracks come from Coldplay's mega concert at Hampden Park in September. Tuesday features the Arctic Monkeys' intimate live session at Maida Vale in August. Songs from Dizzee Rascal's sizzling set at the BBC Electric Proms in October can be heard on Wednesday. Thursday concludes the week with a very special set from Lily Allen at Radio 1's Big Weekend in May.
