Pah. Easier said then done, I like to know when my computer is shutting down. Maybe that's the next mission for Scott. To get us all to change the shut down noise to one of his personalised ringtones.

Never mind startup/shutdown sounds, how about a screensaver that perfectly mimics a Windows PC having serious problems - cycling between a blue screen of death and a reboot... Fools many an IT professional too - hours of endless geeky fun when sprung on the unsuspecting....
