28th December 1987:

UK - Pet Shop Boys - Always On My Mind (knew this already, my mate told me ages ago... great cover version, hehe)

US - George Michael - Faith

All in all, not a bad week for pop music when I was born. And I've heard the Weird Al version of Beat It, 'tis very very funny. And his version of Smells Like Teen Spirit's even better.

UK: Doctorin' The Tardis - The Timelords

The song is predominantly a mash-up of the Doctor Who theme music and Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll (Part Two)". The single was a commercial success, reaching # 1 in the UK Singles Chart and charting highly in Australia and New Zealand.

US: Together Forever - Rick Astley

That Dr. Who one sounds... interesting. Maybe I should see if I should download it.
