Feel free to post your comments here, she'll be reading throughout the week I'm sure.

Laura,

Sad to see you go as you I think are one of the main reasons that made Scott so popular with your diary. All the best wishes in your new producing role, I am sure you will be missed by the team :(

Aww this is like your best mate getting married - you know you should be really happy for her but inside you're gutted because nothing's ever going to be the same again :(

Good luck with Fearne and Reggie Laura, if anyone can make them more popular it'll be you :)

UM is a nice place

:( I love Laura! She's great and a laugh; and my earliest memory of the show was one of her drunken nights out! I think it's a real shame she's leaving, but I wish her best of luck on her new show! x

This is sad news. The Scott Mills Show isn't the same without Laura.

Can't Andy Parfitt just rid of Reggie & Fearne altogether, that was Laura could stay with Scott Mills.

This is another sad day for Radio 1.

The previous sad day was when I heard Kelly was replacer for The Surgery and Dance Anthems got replace with switch.

Radio 1 - Things can only get worse..?

So basically Laura's being made redundant then? Because it won't be long before Fearne and Reggie are axed - they're complete and utter sh*te.

I'm not in love I just want to be touched.

another f*cking brilliant move by radio 1 then, ever heard of the phrase "if it ain't broke don't fix it"? i doubt she'll get to speak much on fearne and reggies show, becuase she'll be more interesting in one sentance than those two in the whole show i'm afraid. and we don't want to show up parfitts' special talents do we?!

laura has been brilliant on scott's show and at times has been scott's show. it wont be the same at all without her, i hope she continues to visit and post here from time to time. she'll always be welcome.

some awful, awful moves by radio 1 in this last year. it's getting too much to mention. but as far as i am concerned, andy parfitt wants locking up in the same place as paul gascoigne.

would you believe that what you just said is happening to me now. my friend is getting married in may and i can tell we are drifting apart already. sad sad times for dc.

on the grid.

Really gutted to hear about this, Laura's a big part of the show and she'll be incredibly difficult to replace. Oh well, good luck Laura and congratulations on the promotion, don't forget to pop back on here and visit us sometimes... :)

So save the last dance

For me my love 'cause I

I see you as an angel freshly fallen from the sky...

You'll be sadly missed Laura, it'll be very hard for Radio 1 to find someone to fill your shoes (and bra ;)).

Congratulations, however on your promotion. Wishing you the very best of luck with (Fearne) and Reggie, I'm afraid you're gonna need it!

Hope you continue to visit the show, and us. Don't be a stranger. :)

PS. Really sweet of you to give Jono the exclusive.

:( That's pretty bad news for the show, Laura was my favourite "character" for the reasons you've just said. Good news for her though, and I hope the promotion works out well for her.

Ditto, no Yorkshire rep on't show either, just that miserable manc git

Can't we get Fox Mary in as a replacement?, Better still get rid of that mardy old git chapman!

Can i just clarifythis. Is she going at the end of this month,ie this week,or is it the end of March?

I was wondering the same thing tbh. I assume it'd be March.

Whoever said to get rid of Chopper / Chappers / Chapman -- you gotta be kidding? It's like getting rid of comedy dave from moyles' show. Mills wouldn't so much be on top form anymore.

    • There's been a lot of positive reaction to the Mylo and Rosie news so am interested now to hear what their shows are like. And yep wouldn't be surprised if they stay on beyond July as cover ever so often. And that Friday-Sunday news was hidden in the small print a little. It presumably means we lose Party Anthems all that month as that is what has happened this year with Big Weekend, Glasto for example. I certainly I hope it isn't Party Anthems being quietly axed full stop - it and Future Pop are 2 real hidden gems on Radio 1.
    • I’m pleased for Mylo and Rosie, they were highly thought of in our local area and definitely worthy of that slot
    • I’m thinking the same redding and Leeds etc
    • -Considering how little Jamie has appeared since Vick went off on maternity, it probably would've been more sensible to have Sam & Danni taking over from that point and have him return with Katie. - Mylo and Rosie are apparently very good and one of the more popular local presenters who lost their slot when Hits went fully national. I gather they are very popular in Yorkshire. I can see them definitely see them popping up again beyond this stint. -Life Hacks cover is yet another good opportunity for some new voices (I know Yinka has popped up in the past). I have enjoyed Pete Allison covering though. I'm assuming most of August's Friday to Sunday 1-4pm will be made up of festival coverage.
    • - Jamie Laing will take a break from Going Home from 28th July. Sam and Danni will cover. - Greg James will host his show until 11am from 21st July (Monday to Thursday only). - Mylo and Rosie, who previously hosted Hits Radio Breakfast in West Yorkshire, will host Friday EB in July. - Charley Marlowe of TikTok fame will host Friday EB in August. - Tskenya Frazer will host Life Hacks with Lauren Layfield in July, whilst Yinka Bikinni will host with Lauren in August. - Jamie Laing and Katie Thistleton will return to Going Home in September.
    • @eddemundo Thank you 👏🏼 👏🏼 That took some listening on Sounds to get that
