What pisses me off about Radio 1 is the new voiceover and the corporate BBC branding of Radio 1 now Can not stand Saturday nights. Why go all urban and have all dance on Friday? Preferred it when Saturday nights were started at 5pm with Trevor, 7pm Judge Jules and so on. Jo Whiley & Edith Boreman - please, bring in some better DJs for daytime. Annie Mac or Fearne instead of Edith and perhaps Vernon Kay or Greg James instead of Jo Whiley. The Lie-In needs to be live. Why the hell can't Sara go to Radio 1 and do 3 hours live instead of do it during the week. I know it's called the lie-in but c'mon, Chappers & Dave, Vernon Kay done it live. Scott Mills The Musical has done my head in. I've stopped listening to Mills because of the stupidity surrounding this stupid idea. Sorry Mills fans, I found the idea funny at first but got bored with the songs etc etc.

That sounds so much better! I can't stand the current male voiceover, i've actually switched off Radio 1 in daytimes now because i'm just annoyed at how corporate it's sounding. The BBC Radio 1 bit doesn't fit in with newsbeat and it sounds so out of place "Digital, FM, Online, This, This is BBC Radio 1" "BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat". The voiceover sounds too tacky for Radio 1, bring back the other dude who suited Radio 1 very well. The whole BBC Radio 1 thing is horrible. I heard it on Edith Bowman's intro today. "Edith Bowman. BBC Radio 1". Its too long IMO. Why fix what isn't broken!? My only hope is they don't fiddle with Moyles' jingles as International Radio 1 sounds better than BBC Radio 1. WTF was wrong with National Radio 1 or just Radio 1. I know when I hear 'Radio 1', I know it's BBC, so why are they changing it. Having a listen back to some jingles on Music 4 back to 1998 they were using Radio 1. 11 years on and they're changing it. I don't like where it's heading, I know it sounds utterly stupid but what I liked about Radio 1 was the familiarisation of saying the jingles, especially Newsbeat's.

I'll be honest here, when I heard Jo was coming back, I was disappointed as I didn't like her shows much before maternity leave. But now she's back, she's not too bad. Just the live lounge and her constant plug for new bands drives me up the wall, and makes me want to tune out. No offence to Jo. I like her feature 'WTF' and still quite like 'Changing Tracks', it certainly beats the pants off local radio sometimes. Her banter with Moyles is quite fun too, like it always is.

I quite like Aled presenting The Surgery and would prefer it if he was permanent. I don't want to see the return of Kelly Osbourne, after what she's been up to this year, getting in trouble, in & out of rehab etc I don't think she's the role model for any teen listening to the show. A lot of us on Digital Spy have discussed this and think it'd be better for Aled to present full-time; he's made the show his own and everyone or almost everyone knows him from being on Moyles' show.

She's wasted on that show. You never hear from her and its like she's in the back of the room being ignored you know? She should've produced a different show. Perhaps the surgery? Who knows but good luck to her. I've adapted to Beccy / Becky and find her quite amusing. But saying that when you work with 2 guys who are quite amusing and you work on a very popular afternoon show, why wouldn't you have a good time?

RAOK? I think it's a shame Oh What's Occurring has been shifted to thursdays only. But it would be good to have some other features. I loved badly beeped tv but I doubt that'll return due to the few people who complained about it :x

What was the announcement? Would it be available at the end of Mills' show or the start of Jo's?

The surgery was better with Letitia. Kelly Osbourne is just un-listenable and people on here are of course right; all she does is refer to herself. Sometimes it can be good as pointed out in some earlier posts but other times its like "oh ffs, shut the f**k up. we don't care". No doubt Kelly will win this award, but for what reasons does she deserve a "rising star" award? Apparently Westwood was good when he covered before, maybe they could bring him in fulltime?

I used to like Fearne when she presented Saturday morning telly (I found her quite good lookin) :oops: But when it comes to Radio 1, she just seems to come across as a 15 year old instead of a 26 year old. She sounds awful on Radio 1 and when paired with Reggie sounds even more bloody awful. Reggie is a good presenter and works well on his own, comes over professional too. I reckon Radio 1 should boot Fearne off and keep Reggie. Call it the Request show with Reggie Yates. Maybe not for the chart show though, we do need two or another presenter for "The UK's Official Chart Show". Reggie deserves a break so can't blame him for being off this week really, can you?

I was wondering the same thing tbh. I assume it'd be March. Whoever said to get rid of Chopper / Chappers / Chapman -- you gotta be kidding? It's like getting rid of comedy dave from moyles' show. Mills wouldn't so much be on top form anymore.

This is sad news. The Scott Mills Show isn't the same without Laura. Can't Andy Parfitt just rid of Reggie & Fearne altogether, that was Laura could stay with Scott Mills. This is another sad day for Radio 1. The previous sad day was when I heard Kelly was replacer for The Surgery and Dance Anthems got replace with switch. Radio 1 - Things can only get worse..?

She was very ott. Why did ITV hire her for the Brits presenting? :shock: Anyway, not going off topic. Andy Parfitt if you read this, change the chart show and get either Greg or Scott to present it.

I stopped listening to Radio 1's Chart Show when it was handed over to Fearne & Reggie. Reggie is great on his own but when him and Fearne are together they act like 10 year olds and make the chart unbearable. If I listen to the chart, its usually Hit 40 UK which is a much better format and has a much better presenter.
