Did anyone go to the Help I Sexted My Boss events last night?

I wanted to but none of my friends are GnDivas. Was tempted to book a solo cinema trip but I didn’t in the end

They teased on the podcast that it may be available for all to watch at some point, I would love to see it

I did. Took a solo trip to the cinema. It was really good. Jordan kept telling everyone he wasn’t sacked from R1. I won’t say much more incase folk are going to see the rest of the tour. I enjoyed it tho

Wonder if they should live stream next time. £30 for the pair of us was quite expensive. I'm sure people would pay to watch online.

I would definitely pay to watch online.

Sounds like fun! Could you hear and see everything on stage clearly in the cinema? I thought they must have had an impressive camera and sound set up to make it happen

yeah, I could hear everything without a problem. It was pretty impressive. Hopefully they release it. I’m a pretty casual listener to the podcast and I really enjoyed it

Thank you 🙂 I’m really impressed they managed to make it work! Glad you enjoyed it too, definitely hoping to see it at some point

Sad I missed it @xxladybarefootxx - i was too late for tickets for the live show then I had to skip last night as the nearest cinema was an hour on the train and I had a business trip starting today. I imagine it will be released on Amazon Prime or Netflix. Surreal how big it has become.

Seen the 1st 2 tours live bit was busy this time around. Jordan has taken shots at r1 in previous ones when asked questions during the dilemma stages and I gather he didn't hold back with things this time either from people who went

I finally got around to watching the live tour recording online. Very funny watch.

For those that were wondering, there was barely a mention of R1, so if anything was said it was either on other nights or edited out of this one. It’s two hours long, so not sure how that compares to the actual live show or how much could/would have been edited.

Would definitely recommend it for fans of the podcast though. The guinness joke is included - and I personally don’t think it’s as shocking as they’ve been teasing. But that’s probably the point.

I watched this live in the cinema and there were definitely at least 2 mentions of Radio 1, including one which felt a little bit salty about the way he ended up leaving (I think in an answer to a question about a job). Hard to remember the details as it was last April - but I guess he could’ve asked for it to be removed as time has passed and this is a permanent edition!

Agree about the Guinness joke, didn’t find it shocking at all 😂 but maybe I’m not easily offended

    • There's been a lot of positive reaction to the Mylo and Rosie news so am interested now to hear what their shows are like. And yep wouldn't be surprised if they stay on beyond July as cover ever so often. And that Friday-Sunday news was hidden in the small print a little. It presumably means we lose Party Anthems all that month as that is what has happened this year with Big Weekend, Glasto for example. I certainly I hope it isn't Party Anthems being quietly axed full stop - it and Future Pop are 2 real hidden gems on Radio 1.
    • I’m pleased for Mylo and Rosie, they were highly thought of in our local area and definitely worthy of that slot
    • I’m thinking the same redding and Leeds etc
    • -Considering how little Jamie has appeared since Vick went off on maternity, it probably would've been more sensible to have Sam & Danni taking over from that point and have him return with Katie. - Mylo and Rosie are apparently very good and one of the more popular local presenters who lost their slot when Hits went fully national. I gather they are very popular in Yorkshire. I can see them definitely see them popping up again beyond this stint. -Life Hacks cover is yet another good opportunity for some new voices (I know Yinka has popped up in the past). I have enjoyed Pete Allison covering though. I'm assuming most of August's Friday to Sunday 1-4pm will be made up of festival coverage.
    • - Jamie Laing will take a break from Going Home from 28th July. Sam and Danni will cover. - Greg James will host his show until 11am from 21st July (Monday to Thursday only). - Mylo and Rosie, who previously hosted Hits Radio Breakfast in West Yorkshire, will host Friday EB in July. - Charley Marlowe of TikTok fame will host Friday EB in August. - Tskenya Frazer will host Life Hacks with Lauren Layfield in July, whilst Yinka Bikinni will host with Lauren in August. - Jamie Laing and Katie Thistleton will return to Going Home in September.
