Right George Ezra'a 'Shotgun' has been used about 3 times now and they keep using words like 'sudden death' and 'we're killing it' and 'that killed 5 minutes'.

IT'S GOT TO BE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THAT.

That's very good thinking actually. Still no clue as to what it means though.

In addition, 'Animals' was just played, and now it's a song called 'Albatross' by Foals. I love Foals and Albatross is a song that would never ever ever be played on Radio 1 because it's a deep album cut.

So I think it's definitely animal related too.

its too much of a coincidence that they played Animals by Martin Garrix into Albatross by Foals. Albatross is too much of an obscure song choice for that not to be a hint...

So here's how things stand now:
- end of term themed location;
- possibly animals involved;
- definitely within 2-3 hour radius from Nottingham;
- possibly soundproof room so that they can broadcast from it.

Still none the wiser...
But the guys appear to have a bit of a break as Annie took over.

So day 2 begins... I was thinking maybe look at people who haven't said anything yet? They said 10 people know but haven't named names.

Chris Smith has been quiet, as has George Ezra given the amount of time they plated Shotgun.

As you can tell, still none the wiser...

So they're at George Ezra's house with Chris Smith?

Smith just did the 1030 news so doubt it

Is this a stunt to expose them to their new listeners ready for the swap?

Did anyone see what Chris Moyles had to say?

If Birmingham it's probably not the library (as suggested on air) since it's too modern - the chairs in one of the videos from yesterday looked they they belonged in a much older building.

Plot seems to be moving to Birmingham now with perhaps they’re best lead yet. Greg and Grimmy not denying anything!

They're not denying anything at first, letting other DJs knock on some random door or shout through a window.  There's also some buzz about Sheffield on twitter, probably this will be the next target, should Birmingham turn out to be dead end.

Wonder if they're starting to get a bit nervous as to when will they be found. Or if they will be...

Funny how only the Midlands have been questioned so far - imagine if theyre in like Plymouth or Carlisle like we earlier thought :lol:

Well it's all based on the fact that Greg was in Nottingham at 12:30 yesterday. So they just have to be within about 3 hour radius from Nottingham.

    • Since Radio 1 Dance and Anthems have been allowed to broadcast on DAB, do we think they’ll be a proper schedule of shows like on Radio 1 Dance with the morning show and Dance Anthems at drive time. Maybe Lauren Redfern, Tyler Selby, Chrissy Cameron or Matt Hallsworth will be scheduled on named shows like Hits Radio 00s or Capital Anthems rather than the generic ‘Radio 1 Anthems’ show. Obviously it would probably cost more to produce actual shows on the station however.
    • There's been a lot of positive reaction to the Mylo and Rosie news so am interested now to hear what their shows are like. And yep wouldn't be surprised if they stay on beyond July as cover ever so often. And that Friday-Sunday news was hidden in the small print a little. It presumably means we lose Party Anthems all that month as that is what has happened this year with Big Weekend, Glasto for example. I certainly I hope it isn't Party Anthems being quietly axed full stop - it and Future Pop are 2 real hidden gems on Radio 1.
    • I’m pleased for Mylo and Rosie, they were highly thought of in our local area and definitely worthy of that slot
    • I’m thinking the same redding and Leeds etc
    • -Considering how little Jamie has appeared since Vick went off on maternity, it probably would've been more sensible to have Sam & Danni taking over from that point and have him return with Katie. - Mylo and Rosie are apparently very good and one of the more popular local presenters who lost their slot when Hits went fully national. I gather they are very popular in Yorkshire. I can see them definitely see them popping up again beyond this stint. -Life Hacks cover is yet another good opportunity for some new voices (I know Yinka has popped up in the past). I have enjoyed Pete Allison covering though. I'm assuming most of August's Friday to Sunday 1-4pm will be made up of festival coverage.
    • - Jamie Laing will take a break from Going Home from 28th July. Sam and Danni will cover. - Greg James will host his show until 11am from 21st July (Monday to Thursday only). - Mylo and Rosie, who previously hosted Hits Radio Breakfast in West Yorkshire, will host Friday EB in July. - Charley Marlowe of TikTok fame will host Friday EB in August. - Tskenya Frazer will host Life Hacks with Lauren Layfield in July, whilst Yinka Bikinni will host with Lauren in August. - Jamie Laing and Katie Thistleton will return to Going Home in September.
    • @eddemundo Thank you 👏🏼 👏🏼 That took some listening on Sounds to get that
