Chris Moyles: "BBC can't be bothered to pay me"

Personally I don't blame him for it, if any of us hadn't been paid for 2 months we'd be livid as well. It doesnt matter whether you earn £500,000 or £5,000 a year, the principle is the same, you do the work, you stick to your side of the contract and so should your employer.

I think the idiot who wrote this story needs to go back and look at something "For about 30 minutes from the start of his show at 6.30am, during which no records were played, Moyles railed against BBC management" Don't they listen to the show regularly? unless Vernon/Sara is covering for him or Scott's on breakfast, they tend to talk for the first half hour of the show anyway.

I do feel for the guy, I'd miss him if he wasnt on and no matter what your opinion of him, you can't say its right not to pay a man for 2 months work.

I have L spasms.

you also apparently have someone having a problem with everything you post.

How's THAT for trolling... (It is starting to look like overreaction and bullying from you Tom to be honest, no-one else seems bothered by the posts and also there's people doing worse and you're not saying owt to them)

Hell I've been annoyed when I've gone weeks without due to (not entirely unexpected) agency screwups and been straight on the phone demanding they raise a cheque/cash that I could collect that day. Once I even slightly exaggerated (although not actually by that much) that if they didn't pay me, they'd have to explain to my manager why I wouldn't be able to afford the fare to get in the next week.

He's still making the odd joke about it this morning, mainly because people are sending in messages of things like "Here's a tenner to get yourself a coffee"

This woman - by the way, the Guardian has better radio critics than that woman - is just giving him a tit for tat, isn't she? He mentions her on air, so she feels the need to write a comment in the Guardian. Seriously...

I'm absolutely with Chris in this matter: why is this news, exactly? Isn't there anything else going on in the world?

This supposed "30-min-rant" is a pure exaggeration. In the first half our of the wednesday's show, they played the cheesy song twice (the first being the Thursday-cheesy-song), and about half of the discussion was about missing milk and Johnny Vaughn's breakfast hampers. During the remaining 10 minutes or so, Chris talked about not being paid. Much less spectacular than I ecpected, after reading about the "30 minute on-air rant". Not every radio presenter would talk about payment issues on air, fine. But starting this witch-hunt all over again, every time, when Chris does something rather unusual on air...seriously, these press people need to get a life.

unique...
