Mr Farage's agent Chris Adams gives details about the accident

The former UK Independence Party (UKIP) leader Nigel Farage said he was "lucky to be alive" after his plane crashed in Northamptonshire.

The aircraft came down at Hinton-in-the-Hedges Airfield near Brackley.

Mr Farage is being treated at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for broken ribs and other minor injuries. Pilot, Justin Adams, is also in hospital.

It is thought the aircraft came down when a trailing campaign banner became entangled.

'Trapped in wreckage'

Party leader Lord Pearson said Mr Farage had been visited by his wife in hospital.

:D ! First time voter here ! :D

I wish Nigel Farage a swift and full recovery. Not a fan of the guy at all, but I commend him for standing against The Speaker in Buckingham. He actually stands a very good chance of winning. There's something weirdly likeable about him: good sense of humour, charismatic, real, true, honest. Sadly it's his policies and ideologies where he fails miserably IMO.

I voted Labour. Although I do wish both the Lib Dems and Greens the very best too! :)

And on a side note, Paul Merton presenting The One Show tonight  weird..

Silence speaks volumes. I don't like how they propose to remove all 'non English' Doctors and Nurses so they can be 'used in their own countries where they are needed more.' Or words to that effect, the Manifesto won't load for me

Take a look at their policies.

To name a couple...

Stopping ALL foreign aid. (Kicking Africa in the balls)

At the risk of getting a barrage of abuse, I don;t actually see why money raised from taxes by people working in Britain should be shipped abroad, fair enough if individuals themselves want to do this, but it should be down to each person to make that decision not for it to be made for them. Its not as if we're likely to see a return on it.

Oh, and I didn't vote BNP either in the proper elections or on this poll before anyone says I did

I read into their manifesto a bit more concerning that bit cos I was curious to learn more about it.

We reject the idea that Britain must forever be obliged to subsidise the incompetence and corruption of Third World states by supplying them with financial aid. We will link foreign aid with our voluntary resettlement policy, whereby those nations taking significant numbers of people back to their homelands will need cash to help absorb those returning. The billions of pounds saved every year by this policy will also be reallocated to vital services in Britain.

I think the first part is a very valid point, its not fair that Britain is givin other countries cash to help them out. Equally I don't think it would be right for foreign countries to be bailing us out either when we're up sh*t creek. I'm not too sure how I feel about this resettlement thing either.

My main problem is I think their immigration stance goes too far, some immigrants in this country are really just here for an easy ride and these ones need to be stopped, however there are also those out there who work hard for their money. For example there are 5 Poles at my work, I don't know 1 of them because we don't work the same shift although I'm told he's pretty good, and I know the other 4 are really good and they work for their money, and 1 in particular is probably the hardest working people in the building and its really noticed when he's off.

On a side note, I noticed there wasnt a BNP candidate in my area, I wouldnt have voted for them but how can they claim to be British and National if not everyone has the option to vote for them?
