This is true, and also how many will be under 18 as well. It might have an impact though..

The second leaders debate is on tonight at 8pm on Sky News and in HD. Sky are really pushing the HD thing for this...

The major topic of tonights debate will be international affairs. So I imagine plenty on the war in Afghanistan and Iraq. Maybe Korea, and Terrorism.

Today our maths lesson descended into political chaos. We're doing a mock election, where people are representing the different parties and on May 7th we're going to vote. So in the lesson, someone wanted to put forward their views on the SWP at the front. Maths is basically a free for all anyway, since we finished all the work weeks ago. In retaliation, next up was a guy promoting the Liberal Democrats. Our teacher then said she'd be voting Conservative, and everyone went into uproar, so the Lib Dem guy went out of the room to grab the great english teacher to back him up, who made a speech, just before the bell went. This is only the start!

as much as i like the idea of nuclear weapons & the Trident program it is highly unlikely (impossible) that we would be able to actually use them if we wanted to, with all the discussions & dithering about that the PM would have to go through with NATO & the USA before using the nukes against anyone.

the UK has to cut it's nukes anyway with the USA & USSR cutting theirs back & Brown has already said that out missiles will be put on the table for negotiation to cut the number, all the relevant systems are made & controlled by the USA anyway & if we made them ourselves they would cost even more.

considering how the USA are the only country to have used nukes makes them somewhat hypocritical.

there is a stone wall (part of a building) in Hiroshima still standing where someone was sitting by when the nuke was detonated & their shadow was blasted into the stone & the outline of them can be seen.

Iran & North Korea are not going to fire theirs at the UK anyway, the only nuke that we would get here is one in a suitcase (similar) & how would three Trident submarines help us then, by destroying the country that the leader of the organization lives ?
