As a christian who go's to a christian school yes i do..although i dont go to church every week with my parents anymore (i decide to stay in bed until way past midday)

I still feel that going to a christian school makes me believe more in god.Ok we're not that religious at school the occasional communion each term with another form(which makes us all feel quite hyper for the rest of the day)and the end of term services are always lead by ministers from around the area and we also take communion then too.And we also have a full time Minister in school who sometimes teaches RS,takes regular assemblys(usually lower school)and also runs a peer group with the 6th formers.

To get into our school it was alot of hard work and the only way we could get into school was to be part of the church community(for 2 years or more) and be very involved in charity and community organisations(it was on a points based system 36 points max and it had nothing to do with NYCC)

We also have to take RS for gcse no doubt about it which i know some people dont like and end up pestering the head teacher until he gives up to let them have 2 free periods a week instead of RS and go on work experience somewhere.

But yeah i have gone to church from a early age and my parents still go now and are very involved in our church(and i am at christmas..singing oh yes)

But isn't being a Christian a bit different to being religious anyway, if I recall from RS. Being religious is about going to church or a religious place and doing the things the religion asks, whereas being a Christian could just be following the morals.

was brought up going to church but am not really a believer in that kinda thing, if there was a god the world would be perfect and nobody would ever suffer illnesses etc etc.

Cant say I am overly fussed about religion, if people want to believe then thats upto them as long as they dont ram it down my throat and batter down the door every minute of the day.

There was one story about a footballer who plays for my favourite team who is a complete christian, he follows god's decision on everything in life, infact the player tore his cruciate knee ligament and didnt even have surgery on the injury, he prayed to god for him to be healed and he was back playing in under 2 months as if he never suffered any injury whatsoever.

I went to church when I was younger, and went to a church high school as a teenager.

However the simple answer is no I don't beleive in God.

When I started high school in year 7, I had an open mind and didn't really have an opinion. This is my personal opinion, but I felt the church high school would try to brainwash people! It was that bad. It kinda made me laugh tho, you'd go to science and they'd tell you one thing, then you'd go to R.E and they'd tell you a completely different theory!

And I completely agree with Geezer7348, if there was a god, why would so many things bad things happen? Why would a child in Africa die every 3 seconds? Also religion is the cause of most problems (London bombings, 9/11)

If they turned the churches in to flats it wouldnt bother me:-p But again thats my opinion and I don't wish to offend anyone.

I dont know who Richard Littlejohn is...

I dont strictly believe in god at all but i do believe its ignorant of us to think that when we die that thats it...end of. I think there is something else that happens but we'll never ever know what

take control
