seems like radio 1 have dumped glastonbury this year, nothing in the future events page or in the advert they just had talking about the upcoming events they are going to.

:o

6music will have round the clock coverage though, so it's not all bad.

As long as the Tv coverage is as good as last year, I'll be very happy :)

Funny how sometimes these things are mentioned on here and the next day it all changes. Glasto was quite heavily featured in Entertainment News today. Although it does sound a lot more Radio 2 and 6 than Radio 1 these days. I'd be impressed to see Edith and Zane talking to Status Quo ;)

You saying Edith and Zane are old?

erm, no.

the dj's go to present shows etc, "the 'people' who go to Glasto are to old to listen to R1 anyway" means the 'people' or punters if you wish.

its in reference to people going about the dj's being to old to present R1 shows & yet the supposed 'coolest' festival is getting full of old bands performing hence the ;) smiley at the end of my comment.

:)

The red button coverage will always be much better than Radio 1. Radio 1 just arse about with these events - we want the live music not to be told what the score is of the Kasabian football match backstage is.

I know, I mean the red button coverage :P It seems to be starting later than last year, and, no coverage of the jazz world stage? That's where many of the best unexpected highlights were last year.
