Make it a simple, 'Hello mate, how there hell are you? havent spoken in ages' bound to rouse a reply, id guess that 50% of the numbers would be dead or unused lines.

What interests me is that reading out the first few digits (mentioned in this thread title) was originally a quip by Chappers yesterday and sounded very much unscripted. If it was something crucial to the show it wouldn't have happened over a news bed and would have been something that got a longer link that that.

I thought they'd missed out on a trick there, as Scott genuinely sounded worried and annoyed by it, and it sounded like they hadn't really planned to give out a full number.

It came as no surprise that they mentioned part of the number again today, but what's interesting is the number remains the same as opposed to pretending using a fake number.
