I completely agree with DC. If I'm going to watch TV, I'd rather watch something that had a lot of work put into it and has some kind of value, like Planet Earth. I am on a general television boycott until something I want to watch is actually shown, but that is entirely my own choice and I am not trying to tell anyone else what to do.

Pah, a programme where us license fee payers pay someone to sit there for months waiting for a new animal to appear. They have the money to do that.

yeah that is the thing about big brother, the house is already full of animals.

on the grid.

Revision as well. Today I've been finishing a group assignment and lately I've been too busy for Scott Mills as well. Listening to CDs and reading books on subjects I really couldn't care about. Oh and trying to find house mates for next year.

I DON'T WANT TO WATCH BIG BROTHER SO LET ME BE. [/big and purple]

Jamie said he might join, so I thought I'd bump the thread to make it easier for him! :P

So, what's everyone been doing instead of watching? Revision is slowly taking over my life, so that's what I've been up to!

This is why there has to be a separate television in every person's room nowadays.

Can't you just watch if you want to and not watch if you don't?

Just a suggestion..please don't turn your wrath on poor monitorabbit *cowers and shields face with arms*

If we just ignored big brother what would we have to talk about / boycott LOL

Too lazy to type it again, but read what I said here: http://www.themillsfansite.com/communities/showpost.php?p=143088&postcount=17

I don't watch it, but I still have to hear about it. From other people, on the radio, on the Internet. :(

Yeah I think it's fair there should be an escape thread - I'm a member on the official BB forum and even the fanatical posters over there like to get away to a non BB thread sometimes - they even wander over to the Channel4 News or How Clean is My House Forums to get away for a bit.

I can sympathise a lot as I don't like Christmas but it's really hard to avoid it, same also for Valentines Day. I think you should have your thread definitely, and the BB fans shouldn't say otherwise.

UM is a nice place

Wow these celebrities have learnt to walk now have they??? That's amazing!!!!!!!! :woo:

I just need to go into a gay club to see a gay man kissing a lesbian. Or anywhere in Brighton. Big deal.

I think it is much more exciting here, and that is saying something. A bunch of hyperactive half-drunk teenage boys smashing bottles and yelling swear words at each other. Who needs a TV.

Maybe I'm just stressed because of exams and bitter because I can't watch Big Brother and therefore can't understand a bloody word of what they talk about on Radio 1 so am forced to either listen to more culturally sophisticated stations or else listen to CDs.

    • Nothing to apologise about, I was just intrigued on how DS and UM react
    • I would be pretty confident that if they keep avoiding using James Cusack on that slot over the next few weeks, then it will probably be him that gets the show permanently!
    • That’s two names who probably won’t be doing that slot permanently then.
    • Moyles spent most of the 52hr sgow calling him that lol
    • I stand guilty as charged as the DS poster.... It was I Okay, so yes Connor has good energy and does the show well, I take it back, however, my last experience of him he spent every other link saying "It's Connor Coates in for the ledge that is Charlie Hedges" and then he started saying "Clem Douglas" - again after critisising that I see she is styled as that sometimes The point I was trying to make was, yes we know it's Charlies show, we know she is a ledge, and we know she is not here today, no need to keep reminding us Regards R1 dance, I suspect Arielle is pointed at the drivetime slot to go against Mistajam unless we know it is breakfast that will be live ? Apologies to Connor and anyone offended by my comments, was just going on my past experience of Mr Coates, who seems to be a very competnt presenter
    • I know we have discussed this before, but can someone shed some light hoping @Lily Georgia can help Since the Wogan House closure, and 1-330 from Manchester, studio 82A (Mills) has been used by Scott's R2 show, in fact i note that him and Grandad Nelson are from there now days The question I have is with 1-330 coming from London again soon, who is getting a new studio? will Scott move to one of the newer ones down the corridor or will he remain in 82A and M&M get a new studio They cannot use 82D as that is used for drive, and currenlty 82A is in use by Scott from 2-4pm In the old days it used to be 82A for Greg, Scott, Annie and 82D Adele, RMC, Drive, Jack I note that Jack is in a brand new studio so maybe M&M will come from that one as well, maybe the same one as Vine uses?
    • Maia Beth is doing Friday Early Breakfast on 7th & 14th June.
    • Joel Mitchell is in for Nat on Sunday 9th June.
    • Ore Olukoga is on 13.00-16.00 on Friday 31st May and Friday 7th June.  Nikita Kanda is doing Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June.
    • Very pleased for producer Amy - it's no coincidence many of the best shows in recent years have had her working on them. You can tell her & Helena are a great production duo and that the whole Matt & Mollie team are a really close-knit unit in general. Some lovely speeches by both Matt & Mollie too to end the show on Sunday.
    • Echo what most have said here. Connor has great energy which is important for that sort of slot and the shame for him is that the dance line-up is so strong that there's no obvious 'in' for him to get a regular slot -Danny, Sarah, Pete Tong, Arielle, Charlie Hedges, Jerry and Charlie Tee are all great in their slots. A live show on Radio 1 Dance really feels the obvious way to get a proper foot in the door at Radio 1. Although to be fair to the DS critic I think it was just the one poster and can very much hear Connor in my head saying 'in for the legend that is Charlie Hedges'.
    • James Cusack is in for Jack on Friday 14th June, doing the chart while Jack is at Download.
    • I remember hearing Amy first on Scotts show and she was great on that, the daft quiz questions always made me smile. It's really nice to see the hard work has paid off for them all.
    • Actually the worst tends to be those who comment on Radio Today news stories. People who haven’t listened to younger oriented radio stations in years who say things like “who?” about any job going to any presenter aged younger than 50.
